๐Ÿพ Kitten Season Crisis in Georgia ๐Ÿพ
Right now, shelters across Georgia are overwhelmed. Kitten season has brought a flood of unwanted litters โ€” too many kittens, not enough homes. ๐Ÿ’”

But organizations like Fix Georgia Pets and Georgia SPOT Society are committed to tackling this crisis at its source.

๐Ÿฑ Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most compassionate and effective method for managing community cat populations by stopping litters before they begin.

Spaying and neutering companion animals helps reduce shelter intake by preventing situations where one pet quickly becomes six or more.

๐Ÿ’ช This is about more than just rescue โ€” it's about being proactive, prevention, education, and long-term change.

Every year, millions of dogs end up in shelters. Too many never make it out. ๐Ÿ’”
You can help stop the cycle of suffering. Spaying and neutering prevents unwanted litters, reduces strays, and gives every dog a better chance at a forever home. ๐Ÿกโค๏ธ

Why TNR?

Reduces overpopulation: Prevents litters of kittens, gradually reducing the number of outdoor cats.

Improves cat welfare: Neutered cats tend to be healthier and less aggressive.

Stabilizes colonies: Cats are territorial; removing them often causes a "vacuum effect" where new, unsterilized cats move in. TNR avoids this.

Community-friendly: Reduces nuisance behaviors like yowling, spraying, and fighting.
