Serenity is the Atlanta Humane Society pet this week!

Serenity is a 12-year-old Retriever mix who’s currently enjoying the comforts of a foster home but is ready to find her forever family. Gentle and friendly with children under 10, she loves being close to her people and would make a wonderful family companion. Serenity has lived with calm dogs and senior cats, coexisting peacefully after slow introductions, and has even spent time with multiple cats in foster care with no trouble at all. Affectionate, easygoing, and loyal, she delights in snuggles, belly rubs, squeaky toys, tennis balls, and tasty treats—especially baby carrots and bananas. She walks beautifully on leash, preferring slow strolls with plenty of sniff breaks, and is known for her adorable floppy ear and happy little zooms. Serenity manages mild skin allergies with food and medication, and she’s ready to bring joy, love, and a little extra sweetness into her new home. Our VCA family is proud to care for cats at every stage of life - whether it's their first kitten vaccines, routine wellness checks, or specialized care when they need it most. We see firsthand the incredible bond between cats and their families, and it's an honor to be part of their health and happiness journey.

This gentle tuxedo sweetheart is the perfect mix of affectionate and playful. She’ll greet you at the door with soft purrs and lean in for cheek scratches before showing off her impressive feather wand moves. Tatiana is curious, clever, and has a real talent for catching flies! Though she started life outside and can be a little shy at first, she blossoms with patience and love. She gets along well with other cats and mellow pups, and she’s ready to find a home where she can truly shine.
