🐾 Kitten Intake & Litter to Legacy Program Update 🐾

Due to a significant increase in kittens coming into our care through ongoing trapping efforts, we are temporarily pausing new kitten intakes and new enrollments in our Litter to Legacy Program.

Our priority right now is ensuring that every kitten currently in our care receives proper evaluation, quarantine, medical attention, and placement preparation before moving into foster or adoptive homes. Taking the time to do this safely helps protect both the kittens already in our program and those entering it.

This pause allows us to remain responsible, sustainable, and focused on quality care over quantity. While we wish we could help every kitten immediately, providing excellent care to the animals already depending on us must come first.

If we have already made arrangements regarding a litter or kittens, those commitments will be honored.

As kittens complete quarantine, move into foster homes, and find their forever families, we will reassess our capacity and resume assistance through both our TNVR efforts and the Litter to Legacy Program as resources allow.

Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and understanding as we work to provide the best possible care for every cat and kitten that comes through our doors.

And if you happen to know someone looking to adopt a sweet kitten... well, we may know a few. 😜🐱❤️

🐾 P.S. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the perfect time to reach out. Every foster home that opens up helps us move another kitten to safety and creates room for us to assist the next one in need. 🐾

Love this idea.

🐾 COMMUNITY IMPACT UPDATE! 🐾

Because of the incredible support of our community, all 4 of today’s trap appointments were fully sponsored! 🎉

And the good news doesn’t stop there!

🌮 Thanks to a generous pledge from Taco John’s of Atchison for 2 traps and Stacey Baker for 2 traps, all 4 of tomorrow’s trap appointments are also fully covered!

Looking ahead to next Thursday, we already have 1 trap sponsored thanks to community members coming together. A huge thank you to Kevin & Mary Bryant and Joe & Penny Garcia for helping make that possible! ❤️

That means we have 3 trap sponsorships still available for next Thursday’s clinic appointments.

Every time a trap is sponsored, it helps us provide spay/neuter services, vaccinations, parasite treatment, and a healthier future for community cats right here in Atchison. The impact adds up quickly when neighbors help neighbors.

We say it often, but it deserves repeating: we may coordinate the work, but this community is what makes it possible.

Thank you to everyone who supports this mission by:
🐾 Sharing our posts
🐾 Adopting and fostering
🐾 Donating supplies
🐾 Making monetary donations or sponsorships
🐾 Helping with transportation
🐾 Washing laundry
🐾 Monitoring traps
🐾 Offering encouragement and support

Every contribution matters, and every contribution helps save lives.

🚗 We do have one more need!

We are currently looking for transportation assistance on Thursday, June 11th. If you are available and willing to help transport cats to and from appointments, please reach out. Even helping for part of the day can make a huge difference!

Together, we’re creating lasting change for community cats in Atchison—one trap, one cat, and one act of kindness at a time. ❤️🐱

🐾✨ Sponsor Shoutout! ✨🐾

Today, we’re sending a huge THANK YOU to some amazing supporters who are helping us make a real difference for community cats in Atchison!

💙 Kevin & Mary Bryant – Your generous sponsorships helped cover Licorice’s neuter and Toasty’s surgery today. Because of your kindness, two more cats are receiving the care they need and won’t contribute to future litters.

💙 Skylar Bell – Thank you for your continued support of TNVR efforts in our community! Because of you, Chai and Bad Kitty (aka Mama Kitty) were able to be spayed today. These are two more mothers who will no longer face the cycle of repeated pregnancies, and two more steps toward reducing overpopulation in our area.

Every sponsored trap, every surgery, every donation, and every volunteer hour creates lasting change for cats in our community.

🐱 Want to help?

There are so many ways to make an impact:
✔ Sponsor a trap
✔ Sponsor a spay/neuter surgery
✔ Sponsor a kitten or litter intake
✔ Foster kittens or cats
✔ Adopt a furry friend
✔ Donate supplies or funds

Together, we’re creating a better future for Atchison’s cats, caregivers, and community as a whole—one trap, one surgery, and one life at a time.

Thank you for believing in this mission. ❤️

🐾 Interested in sponsoring a trap? Just $50 helps cover a community cat’s surgery, rabies vaccine, and parasite treatment while making a lasting impact in our community. 🐾

Is anyone available to help with transportation FROM NAWS clinic on Thursday June 4th? We would need a volunteer to pick up 4 cats from NAWS and bring them back to Atchison. They are typically done by 3/3:30. Sometimes earlier. Please let us know ASAP!

🐾 TNVR Tuesday: The Calls Keep Coming 🐾

As we continue our trapping efforts, the kitten calls keep coming.

This is the reality of the work we do.

Every week, more community members are referred to us for help with kittens, pregnant moms, injured cats, and large colony situations. While we're grateful that people trust us, it's important to understand that we do not receive government funding, operate with thousands of dollars in overhead, or employ paid staff.

We are volunteers.

We are families.

We are community advocates doing the best we can with the resources available.

Every dollar donated, every bag of food, every load of laundry, every transportation trip, every foster home, and every in-kind donation makes a difference right now.

TNVR takes much more than a trap and a clinic appointment. It takes planning, scheduling, transportation, fundraising, foster placement, supplies, paperwork, follow-up care, and countless hours behind the scenes.

This work requires creativity, determination, and a community willing to come together.

Right now, we have several kittens awaiting intake, several already in care, and we are quickly running out of space.

🐾 We need foster homes.

Could you provide a safe place for kittens to stay while they wait for their forever families?

🐾 We need volunteers.

Whether you can help transport, clean, socialize kittens, assist with fundraising, provide supplies, or lend a hand in another way—we would love to hear from you.

No contribution is too small. Every act of kindness helps us continue saying "yes" when the next call comes in.

Thank you for standing with us and helping make a difference for Atchison's cats. ❤️
