Hello everyone! I’m very excited to announce that KB’s Pet Care LLC will be back open soon! In our original location at 1436 Kansas Ave in Atchison, Ks. The tentative plan for now is to start boarding, baths, and nail trims back up on August 11th. It’s been a great experience living in Colorado and we plan to wring every bit of joy out of the time we have left here . It won’t be easy leaving our kids and our sweet baby Marlowe, but if anything could lure us back it is all of the wonderful people that we know and love in the Atchison area. Phoebe says she’s very excited to get back to playing hostess and as you can see is getting rested up so she can be ready to play with all her dog friends come August. For now I am still working at a veterinary clinic here in Colorado and unable to answer calls and texts during the day but please leave a message at 913 370-1053 to book boarding or bath/nails starting August 11th!

Happy Wednesday everyone! What a gorgeous day it is today. First off I want to say thank you to all of my clients, friends, and clients that have become friends 😍, that took the time to bless me and my husband Nelson with your kindness and well wishes for the next chapter in our story. I have cried more times than you can imagine. Mostly out of happiness, excitement (mixed with a little fear). But also when I spend time with my little fur covered friends I get very emotional thinking of memories I’ve made with each one, and how much happiness they’ve brought me.. and how much I’m going to miss them .. and their people🥰. I appreciate more than you know the chance to be even a small part of their days. Since KB’s Pet Care will be winding down in the next few weeks I’d like to take this opportunity to also recommend a couple of excellent pet sitters that I know will take exceptional care of your babies
One of those places is Pawz 785-741-3411. Our girls have stayed with Amy many times and always walk right in like they own the place . Amy is also a very skilled groomer
Another incredible pet sitter and someone I’ve known for over 30 yrs (since working at Country Mart together) is Stephanie Clark 913 426-7098.
P.S. All of the sweet messages and outpouring of kindness is NOT making leaving any easier.. but the call to be the best Grandma and Grandpa we can be is just too strong 🥰

Hello everyone! Nelson and I have some very exciting news . We have decided to take a chance on some big dreams and move to Denver. As many of you already know there is a new addition coming to the Birkinsha clan soon and as much as I have loved living my dream with KB’s Pet Care, I’m sure everyone understands why we don’t want to miss out on any time with our granddaughter when she arrives . Atchison will always be our hometown, and if we are fortunate enough to meet people as amazing as the friends we’ve made here , then I’d say this next chapter in our story is sure to be a happy one . There’s a lot to be done between now and October 23rd but rest assured if you have a reservation on the books your pet will be well taken care of … probably even a little extra hugs and kisses for the road ♥️♥️♥️

I just have to say that I have the best husband, best friend, partner ever. These 2 little ones just needed a little one on one time… make that two on one time . When I went back outside to make sure Luna was doing ok, this is what I found . I’m so thankful and blessed to have him in my life . And so are all of the pets here at KB’s Pet Care

The dog days of summer have arrived 😃. Hope everyone out there is staying happy, healthy, and hydrated . Thank you to everyone that has trusted KB’s Pet Care to be your pet’s bed and breakfast while you’re away.
