We will be CLOSED both Friday, July 4th, and Saturday, July 5th, so our staff can celebrate Independence Day with their family and friends! As always, there will be an on-call veterinarian for our clients.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Avery Wagner to our practice!!!

We are so proud of her and excited to watch her excel in this profession. Avery starts later this summer, so be sure to welcome her back home when you see her!

A brief word from Avery:

I was born and raised in Atchison, Kansas then attended Kansas State University where I graduated in 2021 with my Bachelors degree in Animal Science and Industry, and then continued at K-State College of Veterinary Medicine where I completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. For as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to become a veterinarian. Animals and agriculture have always been a big part of my life and I’m excited to begin my career in the town where it all started. Growing up in Atchison has been one of my greatest blessings and I can’t wait to serve the people and animals in the community that raised me!

I love all things vet med but I am specifically interested in small animal surgery and large animal medicine and reproduction!

Introducing Allison Collins, RVT!!!

You’ve probably heard by now, but our very own Allison Collins has graduated from Colby Community College with her degree in veterinary nursing! We are so very proud of her and her hard work! Be sure to tell her congratulations next time you see her!

Penny is a 3-4 year-old mix breed SPAYED FEMALE that is Available For Adoption at Cedar Ridge Veterinary Clinic (913-367-3600).

Penny was brought to us for euthanasia because she likes to travel and is an accomplished cat assassin 🥷

She is very social with all people and most (but not all) dogs. Penny does wonderful in the kennel and has never shown a tendency to be destructive at all. She does bark, but not much. She also does very well on a leash and is overall a WONDERFUL DOG.

We could recommend a home with outside confinement, someone at home most of the time, and NO CATS!

Inquire at CRVC. We would like an in-person interview and a couple of visits with her initially while considering her for adoption.

Amber and her family have moved to Kansas City and we couldn’t be more sad and proud! Amber started here as a veterinary assistant and worked so hard towards her technician degree while working here for OVER 8 YEARS. We will be CLOSED next Monday, March 3, AND Tuesday, March 4, so that our front lobby and exam rooms can get a spring face-lift! We will have a doctor on-call for emergencies. The remainder of the week, our front lobby will be closed, but we will be open and seeing surgeries, emergency cases, drop-offs, and large animal all week. Thanks for your understanding!
