Sam came into the clinic in pretty rough shape and needed immediate care. The team got to work right away, treating his emergency and helping him stabilize. As they cared for him, they noticed signs that made them suspect he may have been used as a bait dog in the past.

After he was stable, the clinic tried reaching his owner several times—but no one ever answered or came back for him.

So the team stepped in to make sure Sam got everything he needed. They had him neutered and put him through heartworm treatment, helping him continue on the path to a healthier life.

Through it all, Sam has been incredibly sweet. He loves attention, leans into every bit of affection, and has quickly become a favorite around the clinic. The staff spoil him daily with toys, treats, and lots of love—and he happily soaks it all up.

Now, the clinic is working to find Sam a loving home where he can finally settle in and get the life he deserves. Please do not hesitate to call the clinic for more information! ☎️

Eight-week puppy appointments involve plenty of treats and pets! How cute is this little guy?! 🐾🩵

At eight weeks, puppies receive their first round of a four-way vaccine (distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza). Our doctors also perform an initial wellness exam to check the heart and lungs, confirm both testicles are descended (if male), and screen for any congenital issues, such as hernias.

We provide their first oral parasite preventative at this visit and will schedule their follow-up appointments for the 12-week mark.
