This Little Dog Can FLY.
When most people think of Chinese Cresteds, they picture lap dogs curled up under a blanket. What they don't picture is a tiny dog sprinting down a 100-yard course at full sp*ed.
That's exactly what AKC Fast CAT is all about.
Fast CAT, which stands for Fast Coursing Ability Test, is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs chase a plastic lure (usually a white bag) down an open track. It's simple, exciting, and open to dogs of all breeds and mixed breeds.
For many Chinese Cresteds, Fast CAT taps into something instinctive—the thrill of the chase. Their athleticism, agility, and enthusiasm often surprise spectators who never imagined these elegant little dogs could move with such sp*ed and determination.
Beyond earning titles, Fast CAT provides excellent physical exercise, builds confidence, and strengthens the bond between dogs and their owners. The joy on a dog's face as they race toward the finish line is impossible to miss.
Some Cresteds run for the ribbons. Others run simply because they love it. Either way, they remind us not to underestimate what these little dogs are capable of.
