We're seeing firsthand how much this storm and tornado have impacted our community. Even if someone's home is still standing, many families are facing unexpected hardship because their workplaces have been damaged or remain without power, leaving them without a paycheck.

We're collecting donations of dog food, cat food, and kitty litter to help offset pet care costs for those affected. Every bag, can, or box makes a difference and helps families focus on getting back on their feet without worrying about feeding their beloved pets.

If you're able to donate, we'd be incredibly grateful. Thank you for continuing to show what an amazing, compassionate community we have. Together, we can help our neighbors—and their pets—through this difficult time. ❤️🐾

We are so sorry for everyone who has been affected by the recent storm. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

If you have been displaced and need a safe place for your pets, Apple Valley Veterinary Clinic is here to help. We are offering temporary housing for pets/animals until you are able to return home.

If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call our clinic at 920-733-1962. Please share this post so we can reach anyone who may need help. We do have donated food, blankets, as well as soft cat carriers for anyone in need. What a great community we live in!

Hi, it’s Rex! I just wanted to let you know I’m so excited that my Mommy and Daddy are getting married on Saturday!! My Mommy and I get to have a new last name!! 😊

As the Dog of Honor, I have a huge role in the wedding. I get to strut down the aisle and have my best walk. I’m very handsome in my tuxedo!!

I can’t wait to share some pictures with you after the wedding.

With wildfire smoke affecting our air quality, it’s important to remember that our pets can feel the effects too.
Here are a few ways to help keep them safe:
🐶Hold off on walks for the time being.
🏡 Keep pets indoors as much as possible with windows and doors closed.
💧 Make sure they always have access to fresh water.
😺 Cats should stay indoors until the air quality improves.
❤️ Watch for signs of smoke irritation, including coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, excessive panting, watery eyes, or unusual tiredness.
Pets with heart or lung disease, senior pets, puppies, kittens, and flat-faced breeds (such as Bulldogs, Pugs, and Persian cats) are especially sensitive to poor air quality.
If your pet is having trouble breathing or you notice concerning symptoms, please contact your veterinarian right away.

Emergencies can happen when we least expect them. Whether it's a severe storm, a power outage, or an unexpected trip to the hospital, having a plan in place can make all the difference for your furry family members.

Ask yourself:
✅ Does someone you trust know how to care for your pets if you're unable to?
✅ Do you have enough food, water, and medications to last several days?
✅ Are your pet's medical records and vaccination information easy to access?
✅ Are collars, ID tags, and microchip information up to date?
✅ Do you have a pet emergency kit ready to grab if you need to evacuate?

Most pet owners have thought about what they would grab in an emergency, but not everyone has included their pets in the plan.

July 15 is Pet Fire Safety Day, which is as perfect a time as any to take a few small steps now that could make a big difference later. Place a pet alert sticker on your window so responders know animals are inside. Keep a go-bag with food, water, and medical records near the door. And make sure your pet is part of every practice drill. Protecting your pet is part of protecting your home.
