Meet Quincy! Isn't he handsome? He posed for this photo when he came in for his suture removal this week. He came to us a few weeks ago with a whopper of a bladder that was all full of bladder stones. These little rocks form when conditions in the bladder are just right (or wrong!) He acted normal right up until he peed a little on the floor in front of his mom. She brought him to us and we were able to relieve the pressure on his bladder. Then Dr. Shepherd surgically removed the stones and they have been sent for analysis.

This poor fella had to be so uncomfortable but he is such a sweet guy that he tried to be normal right up until he couldn't. It is important to always keep a close eye on the urine output of our feline friends as a urinary blockage is an emergency. Scooping the litterbox often is a great way to monitor changes!

Quincy is eating a special diet now that will keep his bladder an unfavorable place for stones to form. His incision healed up nicely and he's just as handsome as ever!
