Serendipity Success Story 💙
Meet sweet little Graham, our youngest rider who has been in the saddle since he learned to walk! He has always cherished his riding time, often starting his morning naps before he even dismounted. 😊
A few months ago, Graham had a little fall off Kit-Kat, which led to a fear of riding. Fortunately, he wasn't hurt, but he definitely didn't want to ride anymore. Each week, he accompanied his sister to the barn for her lessons, and we offered him a ride every time, but he consistently responded with a firm NO. Slowly but surely, we began to see progress. At first, he would sit with his sister in the saddle for just a second, then gradually for longer periods. Eventually, he sat alone, albeit only for a brief moment. With encouragement from Mom, Dad, Sister, Coach Jess, and his favorite lead line walker, Cora, we kept trying.
This weekend, Graham discovered his inner superhero with a new Spiderman helmet cover and a matching ear bonnet for Kit-Kat. He found the courage to ride through his ENTIRE lesson, beaming with joy! Sure, there were a few tears at the very beginning, but that's completely understandable—this was a significant milestone for him!
We are SO, SO proud of you, Graham! 👏 Great job!
