🌫️ Air Quality Alert for Our Pets🐾

Smoke from the Canadian wildfires has made its way into our area, leading to poor air quality. Just like people, our pets can be affected by smoky conditions.

To help keep your furry family members safe:
🐶 Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
🚶 Limit walks and outdoor playtime, especially during periods of poor air quality.
💧 Make sure fresh water is always available.
❤️ Be extra cautious with senior pets, young puppies and kittens, brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds, and pets with heart or respiratory conditions, as they are more vulnerable to smoke exposure.

Watch for signs of respiratory distress, including:
• Coughing
• Difficulty breathing or increased effort to breathe
• Wheezing
• Excessive panting
• Lethargy or weakness
• Eye or nose irritation

If your pet is showing any of these signs or you're concerned about their breathing, please contact us right away.

We hope you and your furry family members have a fun, safe, and memorable Independence Day filled with family, friends, and celebration.

As you enjoy the festivities, don't forget that fireworks can be frightening for our pets. Keep them safely indoors, make sure they have fresh water, and provide a quiet, secure place where they can relax. Double-check that collars and ID tags are up to date in case an anxious pet slips outside.
