SPRING 2025 MINICOURSE DATES

March 4, 2025, Minicourse on "Reproductive Ultrasonography in the Mare". This 1-day course is designed to give veterinarians the opportunity to gain experience using ultrasonography to aid in mare reproductive management. 4 hours lecture, 4 hours laboratory experience. (8 CE credits)

March 5-6, and/or March 7-8, 2025, "Individual Experience with Ultrasounding In-House Mares". A herd of 15 to 20 in-house mares will be available daily for palpation/ultrasound exams. Participants are welcome to utilize these mares throughout a 3.5 hour period of time per day to gain experience with palpation and ultrasonographic techniques.

March 10, 2025, Minicourse on "Embryo Recovery and Transfer in the Mare". This 1-day course i s designed to educate veterinarians on the procedures of embryo recovery and processing for shipment. (8 CE credits awarded)

March 11-12, 2025, Minicourse on "Reproductive Management of the Mare". This 2-day course is designed to establish a basic understanding and practical experience to mare management. 8 hours lecture, 4 hours laboratory experience. (For veterinarians: 12 CE credits awarded)

March 14, 2025, Minicourse on "Techniques for Handling Stallions in the Breeding Situation". This 1 -day course is designed to give horse owners experience with handling stallions in a breeding situation. 4 hours lecture, 4 hours stallion handling.

March 15-16, 2025, Minicourse on "Reproductive Management of the Stallion". This 2-day cour se is designed to establish a basic understanding and practical experience to stallion managem ent. 8 hours lecture, 8 hours laboratory experience. (For veterinarians: 16 CE credits awarded)
