We saved Polar this week!! He has sat at the shelter for several days. This little guy is getting the chance of lifetime. He is tagged and leaving at the end of the month!! He isn't going to miss this heat 🥵 I'm sure of that.

Happy Hump Day!! 🐪
This is the third litter from the storage unit that we have taken on. They have had 2 boosters and the monoclonal vaccine. We are 🙏🙏🙏 that they are safe and will get the 3rd shot in 2 weeks. All of our other parvo pups are doing well. Just working hard on getting that bill paid down!!!

Thank you to everyone that contributed yesterday!! We greatly appreciate it❣️
Meet our cute boy, Flynn. We rescued him some time back and are currently treating him for Anaplasmosis. We are hopeful to finish vetting him and get him on transport within the month!! 🙏 This boy has a lot of love to offer! ❤️

Making a Difference!
The unthinkable has happened. Cleo's 7 and these guys broke with parvo last week. We have started using the monoclonal antibodies with the parvo virus. It is expensive, but cheaper than hospitalization. Sub-q fluids are used if necessary, and oral meds are given. The parvo strain is stronger and quicker now. We must act immediately if the pups have a chance.
I didn't get the bigger pups until Friday, and we lost Sweet Pea last night. 😩
The whole irresponsible owners' situation in this country is despicable. Just let your dog or cat get pregnant. Give them away; let them get in the road and run over; let them get parvo or distemper and just let them die. And, don't sterilize the females, and continue to let them reproduce. 😡 Yet, rescues are expected to help as soon as someone "hollers." Meanwhile, we do everything we can to save them. I am fortunate that I have only lost one, but the vet bills are staggering. The money we raised for Cleo's pups is a HUGE blessing. (We will not receive that money from Facebook until the end of August.)
However, that does not help the other litter. We seldom ask for donations often, but when we do, it is for veterinary expenses. It is difficult to say no, but for the sake of "staying afloat," it has become necessary.
After years of rescue, apathy has become rampant. There is nothing taking place to make this change.
There are no regrets for helping these precious lives, but it has taken a toll on this rescuer.
Any donation is most appreciated. Their bill is over $1000. We will get through this, but definitely some time for reflection and reevaluation. Please continue to pray for PPOH and for those who do not have a rescue fighting for them. 🙏🐾🙏🐾

It's Saturday and hopefully below 100 today!!!
Teamwork is so important! ❤️. Moose was at the shelter next to Milo. I just happened to text Loretta to see if CO group would take him, and they will!!! She will get his HC on Tuesday and head up there on Wednesday. Thanks to Milo we saved Moose! 🎉🎉🎉
Micki is at the Cactus city shelter and she will be leaving this month! I think it's been 6+ years that we have worked with Cactus. And, it's been a fantastic partnership❣️ So many more can be saved if we work together!! Have a good weekend! 😊
