It's our last Friday before Christmas! This mama has eluded people since the beginning of summer. This is what happens when you dump a female. I do my best to be upbeat and positive and not a "Debbie Downer", but it's certainly getting more difficult. Thank goodness we were able to put a dogloo in my uncle's barn with blankets, food and water. She went it in to have these cute babies. I stand at the door and get the warning growl. They are safe and say a little prayer each night for their safety. We do not want to upset her, and she move the babies. For now, we are letting her be a great mom and just giving her space.
I'm very frustrated with the ASPCA commercials and with the volunteers that are standing outside stores in Amarillo. I was stopped twice the other day requesting a donation. Rescues here are struggling. Why do we give to a national organization that gives it's CEO $750,000 yearly. Give local and help dogs and pups like this one. Please spread the word. The $$$ spent on commercials alone would sustain all the rescues here for quite a while!!! Please do your homework before you give to these "national" organizations.
