Joplin is quiet, shy, female kitten born about 3/4/25. She has a dark grey, classic tabby coat with the "eye of God" on her sides and a "butterfly" between her shoulders. Her short haired coat is mostly grey and black with white on her face, neck and paws. She has pretty, expressive eyes and a pink nose outlined in black. Joplin has never seen a dog but tolerates other cats and kittens well. Amber's favorite toys are ones she can bat around or play with interactively. Joplin is especially fond of little balls she can play cat-hockey with. She's happy to lie by someone quietly, too. Joplin eats wet and dry kitten food and likes wet fish-flavors best. Temptations fish flavor are her favorite treats and some Greek yogurt once in a while. A brave woman chased off a dog as it killed a mother cat and some kittens. She managed to save two kittens and bring them to the shelter. The large boy was adopted. Now his sweet sister Joplin is ready for a forever home. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S, Coulter. 806-622-0555.

Crystal is a sweet 4 ½ month old kitten with a soft, plush short coat that looks Siamese and has tortoiseshell "points" on her ears, face, feet and tail. Her short haired coat is whitish/cream throughout with darker gray/brown markings on her face, ears and tail. Crystal takes a few minutes to get to know a person, but loves interactive play with people and getting cuddles. She's never seen a dog and does best with her sister Amber, not all the other fosters. Crystal's favorite toys are ones she can bat around, mock wrestle, or play with interactively. She eats wet and dry food but really seems to prefer the dry kitten food over most of the wet stuff. Temptations fish flavor are her favorite treats. A shelter volunteer tamed a feral, pregnant cat enough to bring her in. She had her kittens in foster care 3/24/25. Rocky is a Terrier who is just 1 year old. He was a rescue. Rocky weighs about 19.5 pounds. His coat is medium length and his coloring is Black Rocky is an indoor pet; quiet and a bit timid. He is crate trained but will need housetraining. Rocky has been around adults, but we think he would be fine with older children also. Rocky is good with other small dogs. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter. Open Tues.-Sat. 12 to 5 p.m. Rocky can be adopted but can't go home until after his visit to the Vet. 806-622-0555.

Wonderful Mr. Heart got to enjoy a day-cation at Canine Country Club where they pampered him and learned more about his personality to help find him the perfect home. Thanks for all you do! Check out his attached video then come meet him at the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 12-5.

Thank you to Janie E. for all the great donations for our shelter today. Those included a large bag of dog food (not in picture), plus treats, dogs beds, a blanket, puppy pads, nail clippers, a comfy cone, a collar. etc. We can certainly make use of all of this. Much appreciated Janie.

Gerard is 5-6 weeks old (est. DOB: 6/30/2025). He is a Labrador mix. He was found, along with 7 other pups, on the side of the rode by Lake Tanglewood. Gerard has a medium length coat, which is black, with a tiny white goatee. A sweet little puppy who can be adopted, but not able to go home with you for several weeks.
