🔥 Did You Know? Sidewalks & pavement can burn your pet’s paws!
During the summer, pavement can get MUCH hotter than the outside temperature. If it’s too hot for your hand for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for your pet’s paws. 🐶🐾
✅ Walk pets early morning or late evening
✅ Stick to grassy areas when possible
✅ Watch for limping or licking paws
Tip: Asphalt can reach dangerous temperatures quickly, even on “mild” summer days!

🐾 Sunday Pet Education: Why Your Pet’s Kidneys Matter! 🐾

Did you know your pet’s kidneys are tiny but mighty organs working 24/7 to keep them healthy? ❤️

Your dog or cat’s kidneys help:
💧 Filter waste & toxins from the blood
💧 Balance hydration and fluids in the body
💧 Regulate important minerals like sodium and potassium
💧 Help control blood pressure
💧 Support red blood cell production

When kidneys aren’t working properly, pets may show signs like:
🐾 Drinking more water than usual
🐾 More frequent urination
🐾 Decreased appetite
🐾 Weight loss
🐾 Vomiting or low energy

Kidney disease can happen slowly, especially in senior pets, which is why routine wellness exams and bloodwork are so important for catching concerns early! 🩺

A healthy diet, fresh water, and regular veterinary checkups can go a long way in supporting kidney health. 💙

🐶🐱 Your pet can’t tell you when something feels “off” — but routine care helps us stay one step ahead!

✨ Fun Fact: Cats are especially prone to kidney disease as they age, making yearly (or senior bi-yearly) exams extra important!

🐾 Tip Thursday: Let’s Talk Litter Boxes! 🐱✨

Did you know that keeping your cat’s litter box clean is one of the easiest ways to help keep them healthy and happy? A dirty litter box can lead to stress, accidents outside the box, and even urinary or health issues. 😿

✅ Scoop daily
✅ Fully clean and refresh litter regularly
✅ Keep boxes in a quiet, low-stress area
✅ Rule of thumb: One litter box per cat plus one extra

Cats are very clean animals—and sometimes a messy litter box is their way of saying, “Excuse me, human… housekeeping please!” 🐾🧼

If you notice your kitty suddenly avoiding the litter box, straining, or having accidents, it may be time for a veterinary checkup. ❤️

Happy Tip Thursday from your favorite veterinary team! 🐶🐱

🐾 Could Your Dog Be Showing Signs of Diabetes? 🐾
Did you know dogs can develop diabetes just like people? While some pups are more at risk than others, early detection can make a huge difference in keeping your furry friend healthy and happy. ❤️
⚠️ Signs to watch for include:
🐶 Drinking more water than usual
🐶 Frequent urination or accidents in the house
🐶 Increased appetite but still losing weight
🐶 Low energy or seeming extra tired
🐶 Cloudy eyes or vision changes (sometimes cataracts)
So, how do dogs become diabetic? Factors like age, weight, genetics, poor diet, lack of exercise, or underlying health conditions can sometimes increase the risk.
If your pet is showing any of these signs, don’t wait — give us a call! Early diagnosis and treatment can help your pup live a long, tail-wagging life. 🐾💙

🇺🇸 Friendly Memorial Day Pet Reminder 🐾

Memorial Day weekend means BBQs, visitors, and fun—but don’t forget about our furry family members! ❤️

🐶 Keep pets away from table scraps (especially bones, onions, grapes, and fatty foods)
🐱 Make sure fresh water and shade are always available if spending time outside
🎆 If fireworks pop up early, keep anxious pets safely indoors and make sure tags/microchips are up to date
