As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

Today is National Hamburger Day, but your pet doesn’t need the drive-thru version to feel included.

Roughly 1,500-2,000 dogs test positive for heartworm a year in Michigan. Did you know cats can test positive too? There is no approved treatment for heartworm in cats that’s why yearly prevention and Triple testing is so important even for indoor cats. Heartworm can be fatal for pets if left undetected and untreated.
