My daughter had her first Dock Diving Competition today! She got Boomer to jump 13'9" and got 1st place in the Costume Contest! I am so proud of her! 💦 🦁

❗️NEW TITLES- ATT❗️

Boomer, Ruby, and Paisley all earned their ATT (AKC Temperament Test) Title today. You must pass twice under two different judges.

The ATT tests how a dog reacts to a variety of stimuli. The test screens for fear, shyness, inability to recover, and lack of cooperation. Desirable traits are that the dog will be emotionally stable, inquisitive, cooperative, appropriately social for its breed, biddable and demonstrates the ability to recover from a startling situation in a reasonable amount of time. They are tested in six categories; Social, Auditory, Visual, Tactile (touch), Proprioceptive (motion), and Unexpected Stimulus.

Boomer got a new personal best of 16' in Air Retrieve last week! 💦

In Air Retrieve, the bumper is suspended 2ft above the dock. Each round, the bumper is moved out in 1ft increments. The longest successful grab (or knocking the bumper into the water) distance determines the Qualifying score. After a successful grab the dog moves on to the next distance. A dog with 3 misses overall or 2 misses at the same distance is eliminated for the competition. Starting distance is determined by the handler and can't be no more than 2 feet below the dogs Recent Average.
