Don’t forget to consider texture when designing your spaces.
It’s easy to focus on furniture layout and color schemes, but attention to textiles and material choices is essential to truly elevate your home. The contrast in this Nove wall art is an excellent example of the importance of varying material types— the sleek frame of powder-coated metal and the rich natural texture of cork have such a nice juxtaposition, but also work together beautifully.
Some quick little things you can do to easily add texture:
1️⃣ - Add some chunky throw blankets or unique pillows. It’s inexpensive, quick, and can really add a splash of softness.
2️⃣ - Spice up your art! Don’t settle for just prints and photos, look into more sculptural pieces, wall hangings... or might we suggest some felt wall art (which can also help soften sounds!)
3️⃣ - Use trinkets; from glossy round vases to weird little wooden tchotchkes, they can each be made of different materials to change up the vibe.
