❤️ This one is a little more personal for me.

As many of you know, our wonderful Jess is getting ready to say goodbye to Groomingdales and begin a new chapter in her life.

While I could tell you what an incredible office manager she has been—how she has kept our schedules organized, our clients happy, our groomers in line (most days 😂), and our crazy little shop running—that still wouldn’t begin to explain what Jess means to me.

Because first and foremost, Jess is my best friend.

She has been my right hand, my voice of reason, my shoulder to cry on, the person I can laugh with when everything is going wrong, and the one who has stood beside me through so many of the highs and lows of owning this business.

We have laughed until we cried, stressed, celebrated, driven each other crazy, and made some truly wonderful memories along the way.

Somewhere in all of that, she helped make Groomingdales more than just a business. She helped make it a family.

I don’t think people always realize how much of someone’s heart goes into a place like this. Jess has given so much of hers—to our clients, their pups, our team, and especially to me. There are so many little things she does that nobody sees, but I see them, and I will forever be grateful.

As much as I wish I could keep her here forever, I know that sometimes life calls us in new directions. When you love someone, you want to see them grow, chase their goals, and build the life they deserve, even when it means things will look a little different for you.

Jess, I am so incredibly proud of you. Thank you for standing beside me, believing in me, putting up with me, and loving this little business as if it were your own.

Groomingdales won’t quite be the same without you, and neither will my everyday routine. But the beautiful thing is, I’m not losing my best friend. I’m just losing my favorite person to get through the workday with. ❤️🥹

From me and our entire Groomingdales family, we love you, we appreciate you, and we’re going to miss you more than you know.

Now, everyone help me wish this amazing woman all the love and happiness in her next chapter! 🐾❤️

Love dogs? We’re looking for a part-time bather/front desk sidekick to join our pack at Groomingdale’s Pet Spa!

You’ll help bathe and dry pups and occasionally jump up front to greet clients and answer phones.

The schedule is part-time with some flexibility.

Some goodbyes are filled with both gratitude and tears. 💗

It’s hard to put into words what Abi has meant to Groomingdales.

Abi has been with me from the beginning of this journey. She started as our receptionist and helped me build the foundation of what Groomingdales is today. Along the way, she became interested in grooming, and I had the privilege of watching her learn, grow, and find something she was truly talented at.

Over the last four years, I’ve watched her become an incredible woman, friend, groomer and discover her own special place in creative grooming. Watching someone you care about grow into their talent is one of the most rewarding parts of this business.

And now, Abi is getting ready to begin a new chapter of her own and seeking passions she’s only dreamt about. 🥹

I’m sad. Really sad. But I’m also incredibly proud of her and excited to see where this next adventure takes her.

Abi, thank you for growing alongside me. Thank you for your hard work, your creativity, your loyalty, and for being part of building Groomingdales into what it is today. You will always be part of this place and part of our story.

We love you, we are going to miss you more than you know, and we will be cheering you on every step of the way. 💗🐾
