🎃 HAPPY HALLOWEEN from all of us at Summit County Animal Control!👻

A few reminders to help keep your pets safe tonight:

🐾 Give your pets a quiet place to hang out. Costumes, masks, strange noises, and unfamiliar people coming to your door can be frightening or stressful for pets!

🐾 Keep doors secure. With people coming and going all night, it’s easy for a pet to slip outside unnoticed.

🐾 Keep all candy out of reach.

🐾 Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date, just in case!

For more Halloween pet safety tips, check out the ASPCA’s guidelines: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/general-pet-care/halloween-safety-tips

Meet Jacqueline!🎃🧡

Or as we’ve been calling her for Halloween, Jack-O’-Lantern!😆

This 100-pound girl is looking extra adorable in her Halloween costume and is hoping to find her forever home. She would love nothing more than a family to spoil her, a cozy place to nap, and people to call her own.

If you’ve got room in your heart (and on your couch) for a big girl like Jacqueline, come meet her! Let’s get this pumpkin HOME!🎃

Jacqueline would likely thrive best in a home with adults due to her large size. Please PM or give us a call if you have any questions!

⏰Adoption hours: 10-4pm today!

Pancake, Pancake, Pancake… where do we begin?!🥞

This girl is one of a kind. She keeps all of us in check, rules the kennel, and makes sure everyone knows she’s the boss. She knows her basic commands and listens pretty well… when she feels like it, of course.🤣

Pancake LOVES being outside and could spend hours playing with her toys in the sun!

We really think Pancake is going to be someone’s soul dog. The kind of dog who becomes your best friend, your sidekick, and your whole world.

She’s ready to leave kennel life behind and find her person. Could that be you?💙🐾

Please PM us or give us a call for more information about Pancake!

Shawn is living his BEST life in his new home!!🥹❤️

Meet Shy Guy!💙

His name definitely fits him, and after being left at Portage Lakes State Park, we can understand why he’s a little hesitant to show his true personality. But this boy has been making HUGE strides since getting to know us!

He loves when you talk to him, especially if you happen to have some Cheez Whiz on hand. And once he goes potty, get ready for the zoomies that follow😂 He’s such a cutie, and we love watching his personality come out more and more.

Shy Guy has been neutered and fully vetted and is ready to find a home of his own! He is POTTY TRAINED! For now, he’d likely do best with adults or older children while he continues building his confidence. Have other pets? Please inquire about a meet and greet!

His adoption fee is just $28 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm test, rabies vaccine, and a 2026 dog license.
