RUH ROH, Shaggy!!

The Green Machine has a brake pad issue and will be off the road tonight (Wed) & tomorrow (Thurs). The crew at PMG have fit her in for Friyay to check (and hopefully fix) the problem - if they can't Fix it on Friday, unfortunately she will be sleeping over until Monday arvo - so potentially no daycare taxi on Monday - I will keep everyone updated.

We will be bringing the pups home in The Mighty Mini Green Frawg this evening, tomorrow will be slightly more complicated! I will be messaging everyone directly shortly with a plan.

Keep the machine in your thoughts, she certainly earns her keep!

Starting from the week of the 17th we will be scaling down to 4 days a week of daycare - Mon to Thurs.

Boarding will still operate 7 days a week.

Hey everyone! 🐾

We're keeping an eye on some potential changes to the rules around transporting dogs. If the proposed regulations come into effect, every dog may need to travel either in an individual crate or be individually secured while in transit.

At the moment, we already transport dogs conservatively. We never overfill the vehicle, with one household pair travelling safely in the canopy and only two to three dogs in the back seat.

If these changes become mandatory, however, we'll need to rethink how our taxi service operates.

The biggest challenge is that upgrading to a purpose-built van or bus simply isn't within our budget right now. Running multiple extra taxi trips each morning and afternoon would also mean significantly higher fuel, time and vehicle costs, which we'd hate to pass on to our clients.

We're committed to finding the best solution while keeping Scrumps safe, practical and affordable for everyone.

I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts and ideas. If you've navigated something similar, have creative suggestions, or know of funding opportunities or affordable vehicle options, we'd really appreciate hearing from you. 💚

🐾 Well... it's been a while! 🐾

If you've been wondering where we've disappeared to on social media lately, the answer is pretty simple—we've been busy looking after dogs! ❤️

Over the last few months, between daycare, boarding, cleaning, admin, and everything else that goes on behind the scenes, social media quietly slipped down the priority list. While our page has been a little quiet, life here certainly hasn't!

Running a dog daycare and boarding business is something we absolutely love, but it also means long days and very little separation between work and home. Lately we've been making a conscious effort to spend a little more time with our own family too, because our children are growing up far too quickly (and to be honest, I have been hit with a bit of Mum guilt lately, as we can't go on normal holidays as we are here working.)

Luckily our break is coming up, which we will be dedicating to our kiddos - 26th of June to the 3rd of July (Which is truly needed!)

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us, recommend us, and trust us with your dogs. We never take that trust for granted, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of so many dogs' lives.

We're looking forward to sharing more photos, updates, and doggy adventures with you again soon!

You wouldn't even know we had intense lightning and rain last night! All our Boarding babies handled it super well, a little fright when we had one bit hit right over the house but they all worked together to settle down ♡ (a treat and the radio turned on and everyone went back to sleep)
