Stormy Sunday winds here! Thank you all for your patience this week while I took some photos of the beautiful chaos in our home at the moment. We currently have three litters inside, with the oldest kittens now fully weaned. It’s been incredibly fun—and very busy!
First, a big welcome to Penny (her official registered name is Patchefied Jubileena Bing Bing). Penny originally made the big move from Perth to New Zealand in 2024, but she only recently joined us here at Apokalypt. She gave birth to four beautiful, stunning bicolour kittens on May 4th. This is the very first litter sired by our boy, Apokalypt Darcy, so we are super excited to discover that both parents carry the rare cinnamon coat colour gene!
Porcelain also gave birth recently, welcoming four babies on April 29th. This was a repeat mating that surprised us by producing three colourpoint kittens (where the ears, face, and paws are darker than the body). Their true colours have slowly revealed themselves to us over the last three weeks.
With the winter temperatures dropping, we have moved all the mums and kittens under twelve weeks old right next to the fireplace, which has been smouldering since early May (are we getting colder, or just getting older?!).
Unfortunately, mums don’t always see eye-to-eye, so we are running careful rotations and shifts to keep all the families separate, safe, and happy.
Please enjoy browsing through these recent photos, and send me a message right away if one of these little ones is stealing your heart!
