Well - what a day!! We just want to share a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who attended the Taranaki Pet Expo 2026 today!

Dusting off the uniform this morning was definitely worth the effort and was just great to catch up and see sooo many of our store customers again and catching up with new ones too!

We thank you all for popping over to say hello, to support us on our stand and make purchases. ...it certainly was a brilliant day. 👏 we sold LOADS of pet tags 🥰 so good if you have an escape! 🫣 and treats! 😋

And to Sandra who organised the day....what a great job...in our eyes another very successful event! Thank you

Upright Retail Display Freezer (this is NOT a CHILLER or fridge it is a FREEZER) as shown in pics. Unfortunately the right side has had a small dent. The black on this freezer is a blackboard roll. This was done by ourselves and am pretty sure the scrapes on the black look like they are only on the black and not gone through to the metal. Decided not to peel this one off as extra protection for its next transporting. But I have another roll here to give with the sale for someone to do if they would like it.

⚠️Cyanobacteria alert for Lake Rotomanu in New Plymouth! ⚠️
We have recently been made aware of and investigated a bloom of potentially toxic cyanobacteria in Lake Rotomanu - a huge thanks to the eagle-eyed member of an NP Facebook group who spotted it.
👉 Cyanobacterial blooms can make lake water appear green, cloudy or discoloured, and may form visible green scums on the water surface or at the water's edge.
‼️People should avoid swimming and other activities involving contact with the lake water until further notice.
❗Cyanobacteria can cause health issues such as skin rashes and breathing problems. If you or your whānau come into contact with affected water, please shower and change clothes as soon as possible. If you experience symptoms after contact with the water, seek medical advice.
🐾 Dog owners should also take care, as dogs can become seriously ill if they ingest contaminated water or algae. Please contact your veterinarian if your dog becomes unwell after coming into contact with contaminated water or algae.
🎣 We recommend no fishing as it's not advisable to have any contact with the water.
➡ We will continue to monitor the lake and work with Health NZ - Taranaki and New Plymouth District Council to keep the public informed.
👏 Again, many thanks to those who spotted it - we always want to know about issues like this in our lakes and rivers.
