Summer Pet Safety Tips! Keep Your Furry Friends Cool & Happy
Here are some tips:

1. Never leave your pets unattended in a car
Even a few minutes can lead to dangerous temperatures that can be fatal.

2. Hydration is key
Always have clean fresh, water available especially during walks and playtime.

3. Watch out for hot footpaths and sand
If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws! You can test this by placing the back of your hand on the footpath or sand for five seconds, if you can’t keep your hand there its to hot for your pet to walk on. Best times to walk are during early mornings or evenings.

4. Provide shade & cool rest areas
Whether outdoors or indoors, make sure your pet has a cool comfortable place to relax.

5. Protect against parasites
Parasites thrive in warm weather so best to keep your pet up-to-date with parasite control.

6. Choose summer-friendly toys & treats
Frozen treats and cooling mats can make a big difference.
