Forgot to mention that in the late summer and autumn while all their neighbours were having issues with nitrate poisoning and even though feeding a lot of fresh annual grass, there were no cases on this farm!! Cultron improves overall efficiency in the rumen including nitrogen utilisation.

One example of the technology behind our products is CanBiocin from Canada.

Canbiocin have developed patented microencapsulation technology that protects probiotic bacteria with a specialised food grade coating.

This coating helps protect the bugs from heat, storage and digestion so significantly more viable bacteria reach where they're needed. This is a completely different approach to traditional freeze drying. Freeze drying removes moisture to preserve probiotics during storage, but it does not provide the same level of physical protection through feed processing or passage through the digestive tract.

Microencapsulation provides an additional layer of protection that helps maximise survival and performance, technology that is just not available in NZ! CanBiocin is also a member of the International Probiotics Association and has partnered with one of Europe's largest yeast companies to accelerate innovation in the companion animal nutrition sector.

A very important partner to us is Aleris Nutrition. A technology company specialising in advanced yeast solutions with operations across Brazil, the United States and Europe. Aleris has developed a unique partnership with Brazil's ethanol industry, allowing them to produce specialised yeast through secondary fermentation processes. This process creates yeast products with characteristics that differ from conventional primary fermentation methods. Stronger and more concentrated actives. They also have a division of their company that is dedicated to machine learning of the microbiome and how their products interact with the metabolic pathways in different species!! Cultron alone has had 4500 metabolites identified!!!

The demand for their technology has been so strong that they expanded their manufacturing capacity by 60 percent in 2023 to keep up with global growth.
