Amazing morning at the national dog agility show in Clive.

Some wonderfully smart dogs, lovely owners and a great vet team.

We’ve done health check, nail clips, chats and more (treats went flying).

Our awesome Canine Rehab vet Renate has done many assessments and basic muscular treatments for these hard working dogs 😊

🎓 Vet Services Nurse Scholarships Now Open! 🐾

Vet Services Hawke’s Bay and Vet Services Dannevirke are excited to offer annual Nurse Scholarships for students entering their first or second year of the Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

Successful applicants will receive financial support toward their study fees and the chance to complete a minimum of 4 weeks of paid practical work experience in one of our clinics.

Who can apply?
✔️ Studying the Diploma in Veterinary Nursing through an approved NZ tertiary provider
✔️ Willing to complete practical experience in a Vet Services clinic
✔️ NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident

📅 Applications open 21 November 2025
📅 Applications close 20 February 2026

‼️Found Deceased Kitten – Napier/Taradale ‼️

A young female grey and white kitten (around 6–8 weeks old) was found deceased on Burness Road in Taradale. She is now in our care.

This month marks a truly special milestone — 50 years of caring for the pets and people in our community 🎉

From humble beginnings in Hastings, we extended our services across to Napier. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow, improve, and develop our services to make sure your animals get the very best care.

Our Napier clinic is our newest, originally starting on Taradale Road. We quickly outgrew the space and in 2023 relocated just a few metres down to our current clinic.

To our amazing community, our clients, their beloved pets, and everyone who has supported us along the way — a huge thank you. Your trust and loyalty have made this journey possible, and we’re deeply grateful for every wag, purr, neigh, baa, moo, and smile we’ve shared.

Here’s to the next chapter — 50 years of trusted care, compassion, and connection 💚🐾
