🇳🇿 WELCOME TO THE ACTIVOMED NZ FAMILY, SAMANTHA LISSINGTON 🇳🇿

I am incredibly proud and excited to finally share that Activomed New Zealand is officially partnering with New Zealand event rider Samantha Lissington ✨️

Sam will be representing New Zealand at the World Championships in Aachen, Germany🇩🇪 this year and we are so proud to be supporting her and her horses on this journey and beyond.

For me this partnership is about so much more than having the Activomed name alongside a successful rider.

From my very first conversations with Sam I could tell how much her horses and their wellbeing come first. Her interest in keeping her horses feeling their best and supporting their recovery, longevity and performance is something that really stood out to me.

It is also exactly what we believe in at Activomed NZ.

At this level our horses are incredible athletes and so much is asked of their bodies. It is not just about training and competing. Recovery and regeneration are just as important. Understanding each horse as an individual and supporting their body in the right way can make such a difference.

Sam has already been using Activomed 🇩🇪 for many years which makes this partnership even more special. She already knows our systems and believes in what they can offer her horses.

We will be working closely with Sam and her team with personalised Activomed programmes and ongoing support throughout training, travelling, competition and recovery. Education is such a huge part of Activomed NZ and something I have always been very passionate about. I want the riders we work with to really understand their systems and know how to get the very best from them.

And this is definitely not just about one championship. 🎉

We want to build genuine long term partnerships with riders who truly believe in our products and share our love for putting the horse first.

Being able to support Sam as a New Zealand rider heading onto the world stage makes me incredibly proud. I cannot wait to follow her journey through Aachen this year and hopefully for many years beyond.

Sam we are so excited to have you as part of our Activomed NZ family and cannot wait to see what the future brings. ❤️🇳🇿

Here is to happy and healthy horses, amazing performances and a very exciting journey ahead.

Welcome to the Activomed NZ family Sam! 🐴🇳🇿✨

✨ Eight months of Activomed NZ! ✨

Eight months ago I started Activomed NZ and what an amazing journey it has already been!

We have welcomed so many wonderful clients, introduced more products to New Zealand and most importantly continued to build something that has always been incredibly important to me: education.

As an Equine Therapist, education has always been one of my biggest priorities. I do not just want to sell you an Activomed system. I want you to understand it, feel confident using it and know how to get the very best from it for your individual horse.

Over the past few months I have had quite a few enquiries from people who have owned an Activomed cover for many years but never realised just how versatile our PEMF systems actually are.

One thing I hear surprisingly often is:

"I have only ever used one frequency."

But the first rule I teach is that the highest frequency is not always the best frequency.

There are so many factors that need to be considered when choosing the right program, frequency and intensity for a horse.

Their musculoskeletal condition. Their nervous system. Their emotional state. Their workload. Current injuries. Recovery needs. Age. Fitness. Overall health and individual response to treatment.

We can also be working with horses affected by conditions such as kissing spines, chronic musculoskeletal problems, tying up, gastric ulcers and other health, fertility or hormonal concerns.

And then there are horses where our focus is simply general wellbeing, relaxation, recovery, regeneration and supporting them to feel and perform at their very best.

Every horse is different.

Using the wrong program or intensity for what you are trying to achieve may mean you simply do not get the results you are looking for.

That is exactly why education is such a huge priority for Activomed Germany and Activomed NZ.

When you purchase a system through us, our support does not stop when your Activomed arrives.

We teach you how to use your system correctly. We explain the different frequencies and programs and how they can affect your horse physically and emotionally. We help you understand intensity and program selection. We also teach you how to correctly care for and maintain your equipment.

Regular servicing is also something we offer our clients free of charge.

One of my absolute favourite parts of this journey has been watching owners start to really explore what their horses need.

Seeing them recognise the changes.

Seeing them find the programs their horses respond beautifully to.

Seeing the excitement when they start understanding what different frequencies can achieve.

And watching them realise that they did not just buy a product. They invested in a system that, when used correctly, can become an incredible part of supporting their horse's everyday wellbeing, recovery and performance.

That brings me so much joy.

And the most exciting part?

We are only at the beginning of the Activomed NZ journey. ❤️

We have some amazing projects happening behind the scenes for the rest of this year and we cannot wait for you all to be part of what is coming.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Activomed NZ over these first eight months. To our clients, riders, therapists and everyone who has reached out, asked questions, shared their experiences and trusted us with their horses, thank you.

There is so much more to come!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

The ✨️Activomed Hoofboot✨️ is a fantastic addition to a rehabilitation and maintenance program. It combines Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy with mechanical vibration, allowing you to support the hoof capsule and the structures within the lower limb.

Here are some of the conditions where the Hoofboot can be beneficial:

➡️Laminitis
PEMF helps improve local circulation and supports oxygen and nutrient delivery to damaged tissues. It may help reduce inflammation, support healing of the laminae and improve comfort during rehabilitation. The gentle vibration can encourage blood flow within the hoof capsule without placing stress on the horse.

✨️Suggested frequencies
3 to 5 Hz: Acute inflammation, pain relief and calming.
8 to 12 Hz: Tissue repair and circulation during recovery.
15 to 18 Hz: Later stages of rehabilitation once inflammation has settled.

➡️Pedal Bone Fractures
During veterinary-directed rehabilitation, PEMF may support bone healing by stimulating cellular activity involved in bone remodelling and improving circulation around the injury. The vibration should only be introduced once approved by the veterinarian and at a gentle intensity.

✨️Suggested frequencies
5 to 10 Hz: Early healing and circulation.
10 to 15 Hz: Bone remodelling during later recovery.

➡️Hoof Abscesses
PEMF can help increase circulation around the affected area, supporting the body's natural healing response and recovery once the abscess has drained. Gentle vibration may also encourage circulation without excessive concussion.

➡️Navicular Syndrome
The Hoofboot can support horses with chronic heel pain by promoting circulation to the navicular region, reducing muscle tension in the lower limb and supporting overall comfort. While it is not a cure, many horses benefit as part of a comprehensive management plan.

✨️Suggested frequencies
4 to 8 Hz: Pain management and relaxation.
10 to 15 Hz: Long-term maintenance and circulation.

➡️Tendon and Ligament Injuries (Lower Limb)
Although the injury may be above the hoof, improving circulation through the distal limb can assist overall healing and recovery. PEMF supports tissue regeneration while vibration helps maintain healthy circulation.

➡️Arthritis of the Coffin or Pastern Joint
PEMF may help reduce inflammation, ease stiffness and improve comfort. Vibration can gently stimulate circulation and support mobility before exercise.

✨️Suggested frequencies
3 to 6 Hz: Pain relief and inflammation.
10 to 15 Hz: Ongoing joint support.

➡️Bruised Soles
Improved circulation supports healing of bruised tissues and may reduce discomfort during recovery.

➡️Thin Soles and Poor Hoof Quality
Regular PEMF sessions may encourage healthy circulation to the hoof-producing tissues, supporting stronger horn growth over time. This should always be combined with balanced nutrition and correct hoof care.

➡️Delayed Hoof Growth
By improving blood supply to the coronary band and hoof structures, PEMF can support healthy hoof growth, particularly following illness, injury or long periods of poor hoof quality.

How PEMF Works🔆
PEMF delivers gentle pulsed electromagnetic fields into the tissues. These pulses stimulate cells by improving cellular energy production (ATP), enhancing circulation and supporting the body's natural healing processes. Better blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients reach damaged tissues while waste products are removed more efficiently. This creates an environment that supports healing, reduces inflammation and promotes recovery.

Benefits of Vibration🔆
The vibration component complements PEMF by creating gentle mechanical stimulation.
It can:
🔹️Increase blood circulation.
🔹️Support lymphatic drainage.
🔹️Relax muscles and soft tissues.

🔹️Reduce stiffness.
🔹️Improve tissue flexibility.
🔹️Prepare the limb before exercise or support recovery afterwards.

Together, PEMF and vibration provide a comprehensive therapy that supports healing, recovery and long-term hoof health. They are particularly valuable alongside veterinary care, correct farriery, balanced nutrition and an appropriate rehabilitation programme.

▪︎▪︎▪︎

Our July orders just came in and we will be on delivery and training tour this weekend. 👏

This Hoofboot is going to the West Coast to a special patient who is in recovery and box rest currently. We will write up a case story and document the changes over the next few months.

🐾 Did you know that Activomed isn't just for horses?

We also have a Canine PEMF Mat available for our four legged friends.

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy and works by supporting the body's cells, circulation and natural healing processes.

By improving blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues it can help the body repair and recover more efficiently while also supporting the nervous system and reducing inflammation.

Many of my canine clients use PEMF to support:

🐾Arthritis and older dogs with stiffness and reduced mobility

🐾 Muscle soreness and recovery after exercise

🐾Tendon and ligament injuries

🐾Recovery after surgery

🐾 Back and neck pain

🐾General aches and pains

🐾Nervous and anxious dogs who benefit from relaxation and nervous system support

🐾 Performance and working dogs to keep them feeling and performing at their best

The treatment is gentle, non invasive and very relaxing. Most dogs settle beautifully on the mat and many don't want to get off once their session is finished.

🌊 Exciting news for my West Coast clients.

One of our Canine Systems will be heading over to the West Coast next week and will be available for treatments with Kendra in the near future. ☺️

If you have been thinking about booking your dog in for a session or would like to know if PEMF may be beneficial for your dog's condition please get in touch. 🐾
