Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Spooky season is here, but black cats are nothing to be afraid of! Forget the old superstitions about crossing paths with a black cat , these gorgeous kitties bring so much love, personality and mischief!

To celebrate, we're featuring two of our very own staff black cats! Meet Beelzebub, who has approximately two brain cells competing for third place , and Nahla, a sweet girl who is as lovely as they come.

Let's leave the superstitions behind and celebrate these beautiful little shadows for the wonderful cats they are!

From today through to Friday, we celebrate the strong and compassionate nurses who work not only for us, but other Veterinary Clinics around New Zealand.

Veterinary Nurses are more than the person who cares for your pet in hospital, who talk to worried owners on the phone or admit your patient before surgery. They are your pet's phlebotomist, anesthetist, radiographer, pharmacist, ward nurse and much more.

They clean, they organise, they stock, they prepare, they educate, they problem-solve and they somehow keep everything moving behind the scenes.

Being a Veterinary Nurse is physically demanding, emotionally challenging and incredibly rewarding. It takes knowledge, skill, patience, compassion and a whole lot of love for animals.

This week, we celebrate our amazing Humanimals Veterinary Nurses, as well as all of the veterinary nurses across New Zealand who dedicate themselves to caring for animals every single day.

Happy Veterinary Nurse Appreciation Week!

From all of us at Humanimals Veterinary Clinic thank you for everything you do. ❤️

🐾 Help Us Help Pets in Need 🐾

We’ve been generously gifted this beautiful hand-painted piece, and we’re putting it up for auction to help raise funds for our Hardship Account.

Rather than putting a set price on the painting, we’re inviting our clients and community to make a donation of whatever they can. The person who makes the highest donation will take the painting home!

Simply pop into our clinic and speak to our reception team to make your donation and place your bid. Every donation, big or small, helps us provide veterinary care to pets whose families are experiencing financial hardship. 🐶🐱💛

Winner drawn 3rd September.

Thank you for helping us help pets in need. 🐾

🐱✨ Happy International Cat Day! ✨🐱

Today we're celebrating all the wonderful feline friends who keep us on our toes, fill our homes with love (and fur!), and remind us that life is always better with a cat. ❤️

We're also incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Dr Liz on successfully completing additional study and earning the MANZCUS (Medicine of Cats) qualification. This achievement reflects her dedication to continuing education and providing the very best care for our feline patients.

Whether your cat is visiting us for a routine check-up, a medical concern, or just plenty of treats and cuddles, you can feel confident they're receiving exceptional, up-to-date care. See some of our purrfect patients below!

Join us in wishing Dr Liz a massive congratulations and give your feline friend an extra pat and maybe even an extra treat today!
