As a pet owner, it's important to know which common plants can be harmful to your Pets.

Here are five you should avoid:

1. Lilies: Highly toxic to cats; even small amounts can cause kidney
failure.

2. Sago Palm: Extremely toxic; ingestion can lead to severe liver damage.

3. Oleander: All parts are toxic and can cause serious heart problems.

4. Philodendron: Contains calcium oxalate crystals, causing mouth irritation and digestive issues.

5. Poinsettias: Mildly toxic; can cause stomach upset and irritation.

If you suspect your pet has ingested any toxic plants, contact your vet immediately!

Dogs might munch on grass for various reasons! Some enjoy the taste, while others may seek roughage or simply pass the time out of boredom. Whatever the reason, it’s not necessarily a bad habit!

1: Chocolate - toxic in even small amounts
2: Cleaning Products
3: Medications
4: Houseplants
5: Small objects like coins and batteries can be a choking hazard, with some batteries causing life-threatening internal damage.

Stay vigilant! If you think your pet has ingested something harmful, contact your vet immediately.

Meet Billy, our patient of the day who came to us today for a surgical procedure. A big day for the cutest wee boy who was the bravest and well behaved. He received heaps of cuddles from our lovely nurses during his stay at the clinic.

Meet Smudge, our patient of the day who came to us today for dental extractions under general anaesthesia. Smudge is a 14 year old girl who loves to show us a lot of affection through headbutts and smooches. It doesnt matter what age your pet is, dental care is always important!
