I thought it was about time I elaborated a bit more on the agistment care we offer here at Ten Acre Park… because it’s definitely more than just agistment 🤍

Think of Ten Acre Park as your horse’s 5-star hotel 🐴✨

Heading away and want to know your horse is genuinely well cared for? We’ve created a setup that caters to all different needs and routines.

We have a range of facilities available including:
• Large paddocks for those that thrive out in space
• Smaller paddocks and restricted grazing options
• Sand-based paddocks with shelter sheds which are perfect for horses needing limited grass
• Yards and stables for more controlled care

For horses used to a certain lifestyle, we can tailor their stay, whether that’s stabling at night, daytime turnout, rug changes, feeding routines, and all the little extras that keep them happy and settled.

We also offer rehabilitation care for horses needing that extra level of attention from bandage changes to administering medication, and we work closely with trusted equine professionals to help coordinate anything your horse may need.

(and honestly… that’s exactly what we aim for )

At the end of the day, it’s about giving you complete peace of mind, knowing your horse is safe, happy, and being cared for like one of our own.

We’ve been busy behind the scenes at Ten Acre Park and we’re so excited to finally share what we’ve been working on 🙌

We now have brand new shelters up, equiped with sand bases. As well as new paddocks to give us more options 🌿

A huge thank you to Craig and the team at SFM Fencing, John from Stand Out Sheds and Shelters, and Stock & Noble for the fencing products!

With these new additions, we now have more flexible options available, including paddocks suited for horses needing restricted grass, space or different options for recovery/ rehab.

We’re so proud of how everything is coming together and can’t wait to welcome more horses to enjoy it 🐴

We’ve got a few extra friends staying with us at Ten Acre Park at the moment 🤍
They’ve settled in beautifully and enjoying a relaxed, well cared for environment while their owners are away.

We also welcome short stays for those travelling through — and in need of a safe, comfortable place to stop overnight. With full horse facilities and self-contained accommodation for humans, it makes travelling with horses that much easier.

Canterbury Champs Recap 🐎✨
Luca jumped his heart out all weekend at Canterbury Champs, stepping up in height and feeling amazing. We were lucky enough to pick up a placing in a very tough Rising Star class, which I’m super proud of!

Now we’re looking forward to our final show of the season at Marlborough this weekend 🤍

My amazing friend Millie is looking for a horse.
Can 100% vouch for the amazing home the horse will have and be very well looked after!

Looking for a horse to lease or a sale on behalf!

With my current horse needing a quieter life I’m looking for a horse to get out and about to do a bit of everything with (eventing, dressage, show hunter mainly)

Not too fussy on what I’m looking for I really just want something to crack on with again! Don’t mind some quirks but a kind, genuine horse is a must.

The horse will be coming to a very kind, knowledgeable and competitive home!

Also if anyone is looking for a very safe happy hacker / companion please let me know! Lenny is a very special boy ❤️

Recently we had the pleasure of hosting guests who travelled up from Invercargill with two horses for shows here in Canterbury 🐴

As a purpose-built boutique equestrian facility, our focus is always on providing practical care, quality facilities, and a calm, well-maintained environment for both horses and their people. Whether travelling for competition, staying overnight, or needing a comfortable base, everything is designed to make your stay easy and stress-free.

During their stay, our guests utilised large private paddocks, yards, wash bay, exercise track, all-weather arena, truck and caravan parking with power, gear washing and shed facilities, and our self-contained apartment.

Here is what they had to say:
“I would highly recommend Ten Acre Park for anyone needing horse and human accommodation in Canterbury. A wonderful establishment where nothing is too much of a hassle. We stayed with two horses, each with their own large paddock, with access to yards, stables, wash bay, exercise track, all weather arena (jumps available too), space for a large horse truck, ability to have power, and washing machine for horse gear. We also used the self contained one bedroom apartment: warm, clean, and very comfortable with everything you need for an overnight or extended stay. A quiet and peaceful location (the occasional overhead plane) where horses and humans were settled and comfortable.”

Sonja and Di had a very successful week of shows at Ashburton Dressage then South Island Dressage Champs! They even managed to win over Angus during their stay 🐶
