Yesterday I was approached with a business concept that immediately caught my attention:

Creating a retirement village for older horses. 🌈

Owners would continue to cover the costs of their horse's care, feeding, and ongoing needs, while we provide the day-to-day management, monitoring, and hands-on care in a safe, relaxed environment.

This is still very early days, but we're genuinely interested in exploring whether there's enough interest out there to make something like this a reality.

Every horse deserves a comfortable retirement after years of service, companionship, and giving their all. ❤️

Story time 👏

Reminder that Thoroughbreds can, in fact, reboot into race mode at any given moment 🫠

Riding at a friend’s today. Just a beautiful stroll in the sun. No pressure. Just forward, relaxed, happy walking...

Then the pressure hit 💥

The other horses in the field got fired up and mine eventually decided he too was an elite athlete. Went up, HIGH UP... Then launched into the air. At that point I chose self preservation and exited stage left before we recreated a Space X test flight 🚀

He then beautifully strode around the grass track at a lovely 3/4 pace, did a full lap like he was chasing prize money, flew past us down the straight for his photo finish, pulled up at the bend, turned himself around and casually cantered back perfectly pleased with himself 😌🐎

Meanwhile I’m standing there with my jaw absolutely on the ground reconsidering every life choice that led me to horses 😱😅

Please don’t tell my hand physio I was riding. Honestly, I couldn’t wait any longer 🤣🤣

And no... before anyone asks, this actually isn’t the horse that hurt my hand in the first place 🤭😬
