At Omana Farms Ltd in Dunsandel, George Dodson is leading with passion and performance. From casual after-school farm work to managing a 440-cow operation, his journey reflects dedication and drive. At just 24, he’s already earned titles like Young Farmer of the Year 2024 and Dairy Manager of the Year for Canterbury/North Otago, with a strong focus on sustainability and cow performance.

George credits his mentors, hard work, and lessons from the NZ Dairy Awards for shaping his path. Now with eyes on future ownership, he’s looking to give back to the people and community who helped him succeed.

We are moving into a temporary home at 66 Elizabeth st - next to Rakaia ruralco- while we kit out a space next door to make our permanent Rakaia base 🤩
This week will be moving out and getting set up - office will be shut Thursday and the phones will be diverted to Ashburton office.
Vanessa will look forward to seeing you next week in our new digs!
