Rockhall Veterinary A long tradition of pet care in Limerick City
Where your pet’s health is our top priority and excellent service is our goal
(335)

We are an exclusively small animal hospital situated in Limerick city. All types of companion animals are looked after; with dogs and cats being the mainstay of our practice. Our main focus is on medicine, dermatology, exotics and surgery. We are proud of our state-of-the-art medical equipment which means that we can provide the best possible care for your pet. We have in-house laboratory facilities with biochemistry, haematology, electrolytes, clotting times and blood gas analysis, microscope, digital X-ray and ultrasonography which means that most tests can be done during a consultation or on the same day and the animal given the appropriate treatment before it leaves the premises. We have a comprehensive range of equipment for surgical procedures, with both orthopaedic and soft tissue operations being carried out. Each of us is here because we love animals. Animal health is our top priority and to that end we maintain the highest standards of pet health care available anywhere in Ireland.

Meet Teddy, who was recently referred to our Ennis Road clinic by our Clare Street team for dental X-rays and treatment. ❤️

Did you know that up to 30% of dental disease can be hidden below the gumline?

Dental X-rays allow us to see what isn’t visible during a routine examination, helping us to fully assess your pet’s dental health and plan the most appropriate treatment.

We’re delighted to offer dental X-rays at our Ennis Road clinic. Get in touch with our team to find out more! 🦷

Has your dog been showing signs of skin issues or digestive discomfort? If so, one
of our vets may recommend they undergo a food elimination trial to help identify if
the problem is a nutrient-related issue. If a member of the team recommends a
food elimination trial, it is crucial to exclusively feed a diet that has been tailored
to their unique sensitivities.

Meet Logan! 🐾 At just 10 weeks old, he’s already weighing in at an impressive 10kg!

He’s a clever boy too, already mastering sit, paw and lie down! We have a feeling this might be his first and last time up on the examination table, as his dad weighs almost 60kg! 😂

Firework season is here 🎆

While Halloween can be great fun for us, the unexpected bangs and flashes can be a really stressful time for our pets.

A little preparation now can make a big difference. Create a safe space, keep routines consistent and make sure microchip details are up to date. 🐾

If your pet struggles with fireworks and you think they may need a little extra support, get in touch with our team early so we can help you prepare. 💚

We’re kicking off a new series introducing our team and their breeds 🐾

First up, Elena and her 4-year-old Labrador Retriever, Ralph.

A true Lab, Ralph is loyal, food obsessed and always by Elena’s side. He’s just as happy on a 10k hike as he is sleeping for 10 hours, loves the water and has a bandana collection bigger than Elena’s wardrobe! 😂

Stay tuned to meet more of our team and their breeds!
