🎃 Happy Halloween!

With plenty of treats around today, remember that some of our favourites can be dangerous for our pets.

Keep these Halloween hazards out of reach of curious paws 🐾

If your pet eats something potentially harmful, contact your vet immediately. Our team is here for you 24/7! ❤️

With Halloween just around the corner, keep those chocolate treats away from curious paws! 🐾

Meet Nova, who recently visited us after helping herself to some chocolate!

Did you know that if your dog eats something potentially harmful, we can, in some cases, safely induce vomiting to help remove the substance?

If your pet eats something potentially toxic, contact your vet immediately. Never attempt to induce vomiting at home! ❤️

Sometimes problems are more than skin deep. Itchy skin is just one of the
signs that your dog could be intolerant to certain nutrients or environmental
allergens. Speak to a member of the team if your dog scratches excessively or
regularly has an upset stomach to find out if a tailored diet can support their
sensitivities.

Ever wondered what our vets can see with an ultrasound? 🩺
From examining the liver, kidneys and bladder to investigating unexplained abdominal pain, fluid build-up or suspected masses, ultrasound allows our team to take a closer look at what’s happening inside your pet.
It’s a non-invasive diagnostic tool that helps us make informed decisions about your pet’s care. ❤

Did you know we have a dedicated cat ward here at Limerick Veterinary Hospital? 🐱

We know hospital visits can be stressful for cats, which is why having a separate space away from our canine patients can make such a difference to their experience.

Did you know that even a little extra weight can have a big impact on your pet’s health? 🐾

Being overweight can increase the risk of conditions such as arthritis, diabetes and heart disease, as well as affecting your pet’s overall quality of life.

Today, for Pet Obesity Awareness Day, our vet Emma talks us through our weight clinics and how we can help your pet reach and maintain a healthy weight.

If you’re concerned about your pet’s weight, get in touch with our team to find out how we can help. ❤️

A little appreciation post for our wonderful veterinary reception team! ❤️

October marks Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day, and we couldn’t let the month pass without recognising the amazing people who keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

From welcoming you and your pets through our doors to answering calls, organising appointments and offering a reassuring smile, our receptionists do so much every day.

A huge thank you to our lovely team for everything you do! 🐾

Our Team & Their Breeds 🐾

Meet Corey and his little adventure buddy, Peanut!

From being found as a stray to canoeing alongside orcas in Canada, visiting Niagara Falls and climbing mountains, Peanut has certainly lived quite the life!

He might be small, but he’s full of personality, loves his treats and is always ready for his next adventure (even if it means hitching a lift in Corey’s backpack 😂).

Swipe to get to know Peanut and find out why Corey loves Chihuahuas so much! 💙

Suni came in to see us recently to start her weight loss journey 🐾

We’ll be supporting this lovely girl along the way, helping her reach a healthy weight and feel her very best. We can’t wait to follow her progress!
