🎆🐾 Halloween can be frightening for our furry friends! 🐾🎃

With fireworks and bangers going off, Halloween can be a really scary time for pets. The loud, unexpected bangs can cause stress, anxiety and fear — but there are things we can do to help them feel safe and secure. ❤️🐶🐱

🏡 Here are a few ways to help keep your pets calm:

🐾 Keep them indoors – Bring pets inside before it gets dark and keep them away from fireworks.

🪟 Close windows, doors and curtains – Help muffle the noise and block out bright flashes.

🎶 Put on some calming music or the TV – A little background noise can help drown out the bangs.

🛏️ Create a safe space – Set up a cosy, quiet den with their favourite blankets and toys.

🤍 Stay calm and offer comfort – Let them hide if they need to, give reassurance and never force them to face their fears.

🐕 Walk dogs early – Keep them on a lead, even in familiar areas, and make sure their ID tags and microchip details are up to date.

🚫 Never bring pets to fireworks displays or leave them outside unattended.

Remember, every pet reacts differently. Be patient, give them space and lots of love. If your pet experiences severe anxiety, speak to your vet for advice. ❤️

Let’s make Halloween fun for us and as stress-free as possible for our four-legged family members! 🐾🎃

Please share to help keep our pets safe this Halloween! 🧡

Pet wellness month: dental health 🐾🦷 Why are dental X-rays so important for our pets?

Swipe left to see the difference! 👉

📸 Photo 1: Healthy tooth roots
📸 Photo 2: Diseased tooth roots

Did you know that your pet’s teeth can look perfectly healthy above the gum line, while significant disease may be hiding underneath? 👀

🩻 Dental X-rays allow us to see what the naked eye can’t. They help us assess the roots of the teeth and the surrounding bone, identify hidden infection, bone loss, root damage and other painful conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed.

This information is essential when deciding whether a tooth can be saved or whether extraction is necessary to protect your pet’s comfort and wellbeing.

🐶🐱 Our pets can’t tell us when their teeth hurt, and they may continue eating normally even when significant dental disease is present.

✨ Healthy-looking teeth don’t always mean healthy roots! Dental X-rays are a vital part of a thorough veterinary dental assessment, helping us make informed treatment decisions and provide the best possible care for our furry patients.

Because a healthy smile starts beneath the surface! 🐾🤍

🎃👻 Keep Halloween spooky, not scary, for your furry friends! 🐾🧡

A few simple steps can help keep your pets safe this spooky season:
🐶 Keep chocolate and sweets out of paw’s reach 🍫
🎃 Keep candles and decorations away from curious noses
🐾 Make sure your pet has a safe, quiet space away from trick-or-treaters
🦴 Keep costumes comfortable and never force your pet to wear one
🚪 Keep doors secure to prevent any Halloween escape artists!

Let’s make sure Halloween is full of treats, tail wags and happy paws — not tricks! 🐕🐈🧡

🐶👂 FUN FACT: Dogs have around 100 different facial expressions — and most of them are made with their ears! 😂

Basically, their ears are doing all the talking. 🐾💬
Who needs words when you’ve got floppy ears? 🥹❤️
