🦎 Special visitor alert! 🦎

We were delighted to welcome Kami the Bearded Dragon to our Mahon store recently! 💚

Kami stopped by to say hello, explore the store, and quickly became the center of attention with those incredible scales and prehistoric looks.

We love meeting pets of all shapes and sizes, and visits like this always brighten our day!

🎃👻 Halloween is just around the corner!

While we might be looking forward to costumes, treats, bonfires, and spooky celebrations, Halloween can be a stressful and frightening time for many dogs. ❤️🐶

With a little preparation, you can help your furry friend feel safe and comfortable throughout the festivities.

Our top Halloween safety tips: 🐾 Walk your dog earlier in the day before celebrations begin
🐾 Gradually introduce firework sounds at a low volume to help them get used to unexpected noises
🐾 Never force your dog to wear a costume if they're uncomfortable
🐾 Keep your dog safely indoors and ensure gates and doors are secure
🐾 Create a calm, cosy space where your dog can relax if things become overwhelming

Need more advice on helping your pet through Halloween? Pop into your local Maxi Zoo store or visit maxizoo.ie for tips and guidance.

Share your own Halloween pet safety tips in the comments and let's help make this Halloween a safe and stress-free one for all our furry family members 🐾⬇️

🎃🍫 Halloween is full of treats, but chocolate should never be one of them for dogs.

Chocolate contains ingredients that can be harmful to dogs, so it's important to keep sweets, chocolate bars, and trick-or-treat treats safely out of reach this Halloween.

If you're looking to spoil your pup, choose dog-friendly treats instead and let them join in the fun safely. 🐶🐾

Visit your local Maxi Zoo store for plenty of delicious treats they'll love this spooky season. 👻
