At Beggars Rest Dressage is our passion , we focus on helping people give Dressage a try or who want to improve their horses flat-work for jumping or eventing. Our philosophy is simple, riding should be fun for you and your horse. When you master your horse on the ground, you gain a far deeper understanding of your horse and in return you will earn your horses respect. Our clients include complete

beginners to dressage, riding club members, pony club and experienced eventers wanting to improve their competition results. Lessons can be given in our arena, a newly build floodlit full size dressage arena with a top quality equestrian surface or at your own yard. Well, it only took seven months, but I finally managed to stick to one of my 2025 New Year’s resolutions and got out competing at the Eastern Region Dressage at Marlton Stud on Saturday 😅.

As always it was a really well run event with perfect riding weather and Hazel was a little star calm, focused, and took it all in her stride to deliver two solid tests.

Big thanks to Jean for getting both Hazel and me prepped for the day, though to be fair, one of us needed a bit more tuning up than the other 🫣😂
