☀️🐾 Hot weather can be tough on our feline friends. Cats may seem independent, but they still need extra care during warm days to stay safe and comfortable.
Here are a few simple ways to help your cat beat the heat:
🐱 Keep fresh water available at all times
🐱 Create cool shaded spaces indoors and outdoors
🐱 Avoid too much activity during the hottest part of the day
🐱 Groom regularly to remove excess fur
🐱 Watch for signs of overheating such as panting, lethargy or drooling
Did you know? Cats can suffer from heatstroke just like dogs and humans. Older cats, kittens and flat-faced breeds are especially vulnerable during high temperatures.
