Tilly is anxiously waiting for her ball to be thrown for the 5,678th time this evening 😆 🥎...

This week, particularly towards the weekend, is to get quite warm. Keep lots of fresh water available to your doggies & keep walking to a minimum during the day. Best to walk early mornings or late evenings & even better, keep walks short, if at all.

Remember, if it's too warm for you, it's too warm for your doggy. Keep them in shade & using a fan on the floor helps keep them cool.

Handsome Ted was in for his second groom yesterday & really enjoyed posing for photos. His brother D'for kept a watchful eye on him.
It was such torrential rain yesterday all the doggies had to stay inside in case they were washed away 🤦‍♀️🐕🐕...

Welcome to the grooming parlour 🐕.

My aim was to make it as friendly & welcoming as possible for the doggies & their humans. It should feel like home, a place where the doggies can relax, where they can meet their friends & play, instead of being locked in a cage waiting to be groomed.
The cage doors are open so if a shy doggy wants peace & quite, they can go in themselves.
If we have doggies that are not really sociable they can stay in one of our large cages or the small pen outside (if the weather is beautiful 🤗).
After being pampered they get a treat (or 2 🫣) & can go back playing with their pals.
Doggies are wonderful, they have so much to teach us, about life, social interaction, being themselves & loving & caring for each other - we see it all the time here with these amazing creatures. We really are very lucky to have these special creatures in our lives... 🐕❤️

When the clematis bursts into full bloom and the cherry blossoms scatter like confetti in the evenings spring breeze, it's a sign summer is only around the corner. I love this time of year as new life springs eternal, the birds gather my little gift of doggy hair trimmings to build their nests & we are eternally optimistic for warmer days head... 🌹🪻

One of the greatest things about being a groomer is how much our beautiful doggy clients teach us about life every day. Amongst the many things they teach us about is unconditional love, they teach us about kindness, they teach us about loyalty and they teach us how to be patient... 🐕

We had a few new puppies in this week for their first grooms. They were amazing, they all stood like models on the table. And it's thanks to their fantastic owners who taught them, from day 1, how to be brushed & washed without fear.

A little time & patience every day with your new puppy goes a long way to having a happy, confident adult doggy... 🐕❤️
