We have had reports of an outbreak of parvo virus in the Wrexham area.

This is a dangerous infection that we help protect your dog from with their annual vaccinations.

Please check your dogs vaccine status and if in doubt contact us during opening hours.

Puppies are at particular risk so please dont allow them out until fully vaccinated. Please call us if you have any concerns.

Recently one of our vets Dr Caitlin Palm participated in a hosting a dog show for Caia Park Environmental Group, raising awareness for environmental changes within our community. 🌏♻️

Rhyd Broughton Vets have implemented many changes and continue to push for changes in the impact the veterinary industry has on the environment, with our positive pawprint strategy, so it made pawfect sense to support the local Wrexham group. 🐾

🏵 The dog show was judged by Caitlin her mum Natalie and the Depty Mayor Jeremy Kent.

🏆 The Best Dog was awarded to Dipsy and he received a free health check with ourselves at Rhyd Broughton Vets.

Thank you for all who attended and showed their support for both the community and the judges.

Blue-green algae can be toxic to dogs. ☢️

It may appear as scum or green paint on the surface of ponds or lakes, but even a small amount can cause dogs to become seriously ill. Keep them out of water that looks suspicious, and always check for warning signs when out on walks.
