Veterinary Cotton Wool is ideal for wound padding and protection.

When placed over a dressing, cotton wool adds a soft cushioning layer that helps shield the injury from knocks, dirt, and pressure—particularly important on legs and joints.

𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬.

When your horse gets a wound, the body immediately starts working to repair the damage.

As part of the natural healing process, inflammation produces a clear yellow fluid called exudate. This fluid helps keep the wound moist and provides nutrients that support the growth of new skin cells.

As healing continues, new blood vessels develop and epithelial cells begin to form around the edges of the wound, helping the skin gradually close and repair itself. If the wound is allowed to dry, a scab may form to protect the area.

Once a new layer of skin has developed underneath, the scab will naturally fall away — sometimes leaving a small scar behind.

Supporting proper wound care can help ensure the healing process runs smoothly and speeds up recovery.

When applied warm, Animalintex Hoof Treatment helps increase blood flow to the hoof, delivering more oxygen and white blood cells to fight infection.

This improved circulation can help reduce swelling, while the warmth provides comfort and relieves pain for your horse.

Practical first aid that supports the body’s natural healing process.
