Agility

Agility is an amazing sport of jumps, climbing, platforms, and overcoming obstacles

Agility courses vary but most contain jumps, weaves, tunnels and contact equipment. Agility is a favourite sport for building confidence for sensitive dogs and for building a good communication standard between dog and handler

Dogs of all kinds do fantastic at Agility, in particular Border Collies and Australian Shepherds

Flyball

Flyball is an exciting, fun sport. Using a dogs flexibility, speed, and drive to work to retrieve a ball and return it to the owner

Flyball involves a handler positioning their dog at the end of a trail, facing the board with a ball. The dog is then released to run to the board, grab the ball, and use the board to push themselves off on the return to their handler

Flyball is fantastic for high drive breeds including Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Greyhounds

Mantrailing

Mantrailing is a fantastic and relatively new Dog Sport. Using their keen sense of smell with their desire to search and discover

Mantrailing involves a person hiding behind or inside a piece of equipment before the dog enters that space. The dog and handler then search for the person, following their scent and positioning themselves in front of the hider

Mantrailing is great for curious searching breeds such as Beagles, Pointers, and Golden Retrievers

Disc Dog

Disc Dog is a fantastic activity with only a frisbee and dog needed for the sport

For Disc Dog, you as the handler are tasked with throwing a frisbee a certain distance and your dog should leave the ground to catch it. For higher level competitors, they might add a pattern of throwing multiple discs or add the dog taking the disc to a specific location once caught

Disc work is great for high energy dogs such as Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Siberian Husky's
