Hello everyone 👋

We have seen the post regarding the Snowy Owl currently in and around the Allonby area and would like to assure everyone its not our Snowy Owl ‘Athena’. She is safe at home and has been checked this morning.

This is very probably an escaped owl from a sanctuary or private collection. It will be struggling in the heat with this being an Arctic Owl. If we were at home we would have been happy to try and capture the owl to check the ring and re-unite with the owner/s.

If it is still around the area tomorrow we will head straight there. Thank you to all who have messaged us asking if it was ours we really appreciate it 🦉
