CELIA CROSS GREYHOUND TRUST We are a small independent rescue devoted to sighthounds in need. Every hound who arrives becomes part of our family and stays as long as they need.

We provide safety, love, and dedicated care until they find a forever sofa to call their own. Celia Cross Greyhound Trust became a registered Charity in 1993, following a move to Sun Valley Farm, which is our home today. Sun Valley is based in outer Guildford on approximately 12 acres of stunning Surrey Hills countryside. Surrounded by woodland and rolling hillsides it really is heaven for our res

cue hounds. The kennels boast a fully enclosed 6 acre field where the dogs are exercised multiple times a day, as well as luxury kennels with under bed heating, soft fluffy duvets and access to their own outside run! Dogs are assessed on arrival and their lives put back together. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers help many a traumatised hound adjust to a new and loving environment. We aim to heal not only physical wounds- some from the track and others that indicate prolonged abuse- but the emotional wounds that are not always immediately obvious. Each dog who comes through our gates is allowed to settle in at their own pace, and if they wish, will be kennelled with another dog so they can socialise, snuggle up and play just as dogs should. We work hard to make sure our dogs are happy, spoiled rotten and we strive to create a homely family feel in our kennels for our residents until they are ready to be placed into the right home. Sun Valley is in the safe hands of Jane Thompson. Jane has dedicated her life to dogs, working with them for over 30 years. She is supported by a board of fellow trustees, fabulous Kennel staff and an extensive team of valued volunteers.

Our gorgeous little Frankie has left us to start his new happy ever after with his new family. Kate & Peter were very excited to be taking their boy home with them to join their family.
Be a happy boy Frankie, you really have been such a joy for us to love you during your time with us at Sun Valley.

Our gorgeous Flora has sadly had her reservation for her new home fall through for absolutley no fault of her own.
So now this gorgeous girl is back looking for her forever home. Flora is super smart and is looking for a new home where she can flourish and enjoy her life. Flora is only a young girl who is not even 2 yet and she shouldn’t be spending her days in kennels. She should be bouncing around playing in her own garden and going on adventures of sniffies and zoomies. Flora is an amazing confident girl and she loves nothing more than enjoying life. She is very intelligent and would even love to be given challenges. If you are considering agility or just love being outdoors then maybe you should come and meet Flora, I can guarantee she will greet you with a huge grin and a big waggy tailed hug.

I have another happy tail to tell you all.
Our gorgeous Bertie has left us to start his new life with new mum Sandie and extended family of dad David and ex CCGT boy Milo. Our gorgeous boy has been at Sun Valley a while and has had a couple of home offers fall through, so we were delighted when Sandie wanted to offer Bertie his forever home. Dear Bertie is suffering with a bit of separation anxiety in these early few days in, but with lots of support from us and her family she is helping Bertie overcome his fears. Sandie is absolutely in love with Bertie and we know that they are going to have a wonderful life together.
