Mindieslodge Golden Retrievers was started back in 2004 when we decided to breed from our much loved family pet, Mindy. Candie is from her first litter and Lexy joined our family in March 2013.

REMMY UPDATE

We wanted to update everyone on the search for Remmy, as there seems to be some misinformation circulating that could affect a safe rescue.

Firstly, we want to reassure everyone that over the last 3–4 days we have been successfully tracking Remmy. We’ve had him on cameras, monitored his movements, and we now know the areas he is using. We have now entered the next stage of the rescue process and are working to bring him home safely, just as we did before.

We’ve also seen comments suggesting that nobody is helping or that the owners are not doing anything. We can assure you this is completely untrue. For the last 10 days and nights, we have been following up sightings, moving cameras, setting up feeding stations, and monitoring activity constantly. The owners have been out with us and also carrying out work on their own. This included the both of us being out again untill 03:30 this morning.

It is because of this incredible effort and dedication that we have managed to track and physically see Remmy. However, securing a dog in this situation cannot be rushed.

We are now urgently asking people not to go out searching for him. The route Remmy is currently taking is considered safe, but any additional pressure could cause him to panic, move into dangerous areas, or leave the location entirely. If that happens, the entire process may have to start again from the beginning.

If you do happen to see Remmy, please do not approach, call, or follow him. Simply ignore him and call 07894 348990.

🚨 Missing Remmy 🚨

As we continue following up on leads, we are once again asking for your help.

We are trying to confirm a possible sighting from Saturday, although at this stage we are unable to ascertain an exact time. We would be extremely grateful if anyone living in the area marked on the map could please check any Ring doorbells or CCTV footage from Saturday.

We are especially keen to hear from anyone with cameras facing Christchurch Road.

If you live in the marked area, please also check gardens, sheds, garages, and any small spaces where Remmy may have taken shelter.

We urgently need your help 🙏

Right now, we only have access to one Missy Trap locally, and it’s a 45-minute drive away.

If it’s already in use, we simply can’t use it.

For many lost dogs, especially fearful or newly adopted Romanian rescues, coming when called isn’t an option.

They go into survival mode and avoid people completely. This is where a Missy Trap becomes critical, it allows us to safely and humanely contain dogs that would otherwise keep running.

Just this weekend, a Missy Trap helped bring Remmy home safely. Without it, the outcome could have been very different.

With the number of missing dogs increasing, relying on one shared trap is no longer enough. We need our own so we can respond immediately and give every dog the best chance of getting home.

We made positive progress last night, with Remmy returning to the same location multiple times to eat and drink. However, he is still travelling along the A31 at times

Please stay alert if you are driving in the highlighted area.

* DO NOT chase or approach
* This could push him back onto the road and put him in danger
