These clever lucky hens have been hiding outside of a farm barn after the slaughter truck left them behind a few days ago 🙏
They do have a home awaiting from one of our regular adopters who has waited months to add more friends to his existing girls.
We will be getting hens in small amounts like this throughout the year.

Last month we were asked by a farmhand if we could help a hen that was found trapped hanging by her leg. Of we can't say no. She couldn't stand at all and wasn't eating or drinking much. After a couple of weeks of total nest rest and pain relief, here she is , up and ready to go onto her forever home at our friends at Little Nest Rescue C.I.C who've just taken a lone hen who needed a friend

We don't agree to hatching/breeding for this reason 💔
There are already over 40 million male chicks in the egg industry killed per year in the uk alone.
They aren't cost-effective to keep because they don't lay eggs and their flesh is tough to eat. Lots of people including schools think it's a good thing to do, then when it's too late, they don't know what to do with the c**kerels , and there will always be more than one 😞.

Rescues simply can't keep taking them in .

They are being dumped and found dead , some are used as bait for trapping foxes 💔 c**k fighting 💔 and dog fighting 💔
Please do not apply to adopt hens from ourselves if you plan on breeding from them.
