The two lucky commercial boys David Peckham and Buzz who escaped the day-old culling, are now in their new home..
Around 40 to 45 million cockerels are killed each year in the uk alone in the egg industry. 🐓💙🍀

Through no fault of their own due to their owners having to move , a new home is wanted for these two gorgeous boys. David Peckham & Buzz who have lived together since they were babies. They'd been discovered in a commercial raising shed ,so had missed being killed at a day old. If you can offer them a secure home together. Please send us a pm

If you do eat eggs please support LuckyHens Rescue Wigan who have just rescued hundreds of commercial laying hens from being slaughterd.
They are £3 a dozen to cover the feed bill.

Please give a big cheer to our volunteer Pam, the lady on the right. who has always waded through the adoption bookings over the years but to manage over 1000 hens rescued this month with technical issues. she deserves a round of applause 🥳

Yesterday we thought we had caught every escape but this morning, we received a message off the farm hand that he'd found another, that had hidden from the slaughter house catchers hands. Here she is joining her sisters 😍
