❓ Is your body protector in date?

From January 2024, the BETA 2009 standard was no longer permitted at:
🏇 British Eventing
🏇 British Riding Club
🏇 Pony Club competitions
(This may also include clinics & training days.)

To participate at these events and any which follow their rules, you’ll now need a BETA 2018 Level 3 body protector – look for the turquoise label.

Why the change?
📅 A 2009-labelled protector is already 5–14 years old (or older!).
⏳ Protection foams degrade over time – even more so after impacts or poor storage.
💡 Recommended replacement: every 3–5 years.

You can still wear an older protector at home or for activities without a standard requirement – but remember, it may not offer the same level of protection.
