🌊🐾 What an adventure we’ve had today at Kingsgate Bay! 🐾🌊

With half of our boarding crew joining us, today’s outing was definitely one to remember! 😅

I’m still not quite sure how Nat and I managed to avoid breaking our legs with all the climbing, scrambling, exploring, and adventures the dogs led us on! 🧗‍♀️🐕😂

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, we got so caught up having fun that we didn’t quite realise how quickly the tide was coming in… which meant our journey back involved a surprise paddle through the sea! 🌊🤣🐾

After all that adventuring, we refuelled with a lovely lunch at Captain Digby’s — a fantastic dog-friendly restaurant where the pups were made to feel just as welcome as we were. 🍔🐶❤️

Safe to say everyone will be sleeping well tonight after a day packed full of fun, fresh air, and unforgettable memories! 🐾💙

With the high temperatures recently, keeping our pups safe and comfortable is our top priority! ❤️

The past week has been all about cooling mats, shady spots, fresh water, paddling pools, and plenty of garden water play to help everyone stay happy and cool. 💦🐶

While some dogs love splashing around, others prefer stretching out on a cooling mat and watching the fun from the sidelines! 😎

We’re taking things nice and easy, avoiding the hottest parts of the day, and making sure all of our furry guests stay safe in the heat. ☀️🐾

I’ve finally sat down on the sofa for a whole 2 minutes… 😂🐾Apparently that’s all the invitation Chi Chi and Mia needed! ...

It is with great sadness that I share this information. This death could have been avoided. One family no longer has their beloved dog due to using an unlicenced home boarder.

(Copied from another group, just so sad 😞)

This weekend a heartbreaking incident saw a dog lose its life from heat stroke whilst in the care of an unlicensed home boarder. 💔

The boarder lied and said they were licensed 🤬🤬🤬

It’s a devastating reminder of why choosing a LICENSED home boarding service matters so much.

Licensed boarders are required to:

✔️ Have inspections carried out

✔️ Complete risk assessments

✔️ Meet animal welfare standards

✔️ Hold appropriate insurance

✔️ Follow safety procedures for weather, exercise, transport and emergencies

Sadly, when people operate without a licence, these checks often aren’t in place — leaving dogs at risk and owners with little protection if the worst happens.

Please, before leaving your beloved pets with anyone:

🐾 Ask to see their licence

🐾 Check insurance cover

🐾 Read reviews

🐾 Visit the premises first

🐾 Don’t be afraid to ask questions

We decided to try something a little different this time with Bertie, and I absolutely love the result! 😍 We’ve added some adorable little hearts to his groom, and I think he looks super cute! ❤️🐶
