☀️ Warm weather is finally here… but don’t forget our dogs feel the heat too 🐶💛

As temperatures rise this weekend, remember:
🐾 hot pavements can burn paws
🐾 thick coats trap heat quickly
🐾 older dogs and flat-faced breeds struggle faster
🐾 never leave dogs in cars — even for “just a minute”

Keep walks early morning or later evening, provide plenty of fresh water, and make grooming part of your dog’s summer care routine ✂️

A well-maintained coat helps air circulate properly and can make a huge difference in helping dogs stay comfortable during warmer weather.

This weekend isn’t just about enjoying the sunshine…
It’s about protecting the dogs who trust us completely ☀️🐾

Sweet Otto 😍. He had some trust issues with grooming that we had to work through when he came to me but I’m happy to say he’s so much more comfortable with grooming now 🐾

Tick season 🤢
Not easy to spot them when they are small ( they resemble a tomato seed). I removed these from a spaniel today.
🐾Keep your eyes peeled after a walk 👀
🐾Ensure you have a tick remover at home so that you can get rid of them safely, and clean the area with antiseptic afterwards.
🐾Always remember to twist the tool before you pull it so that you don’t leave the head in, as this can create infections!
🐾Make sure they are dead before you bin it, or flush it down the toilet as they can produce hundreds of babies in a very short space of time so don’t put it back in your garden whatever you do! 😅
