‼️ RAGWORT SEASON ‼️
✅Best practice is to remove the ragwort before it flowers.
✅Please remember to wear protection on your hands as it can be
harmful to humans as well as horses.
✅There are three main options for disposing of ragwort safely: controlled burning in small quantities and a safe location away from buildings and animals; rotting in a secure compost bin or similar with a lid; and using a waste-management company who will remove the ragwort for you.

Unfortunately, it's that time of year.. ragwort season! ⚠️

Ragwort is a poisonous plant which is potentially dangerous in horse fields, as when grazing is scarce, horses may be tempted to eat it. If ingested, ragwort can cause severe liver damage so it's best to remove it from fields.

Ragwort spreads easily and is best removed when it is in its early rosette stage to prevent a fully flowering plant from developing and spreading further seeds. The easiest way to remove a small number of plants is by pulling the whole plant up from the roots using a specialised ragwort fork. This can be a labour intensive process, but it is well worth the effort!

Firstly thank to each and everyone of you, 82 to be precise that entered our May Pet of the Month Competition. We were truly overwhelmed by all of the amazing entries.

After going through entries a number of times we're pleased to announce our Winner is Lily Lander's XCalibur who on his first outing won reserve champion, congratulations you have won £15 to spend at the store. 🎊

✨Rug Washing & Repairs✨
Dapper Dobbins will be collecting on Wednesday 29th May (due to the Bank Holiday)

Simply drop off your rugs for washing, reproofing and repairing at the store. (They also wash travel boots and numnahs too)

Now's the time to have a sort out of Winter Rugs and send them off to be washed, repaired and reproofed ready for when Winter returns.
