"💦🐾 WAG & SPLASH IS BACK! 🐾💦

If you've been watching everyone else's dogs having the time of their lives in the water and thinking, ""Mine would absolutely love that..."" 👀

This is your sign.

Our last Wag and Splash adventure was an absolute hit! We spent the day swimming, splashing, exploring, chasing zoomies and generally living our best dog lives. 🌊🐶

The dogs came home happy, muddy, tired and ready for a well-earned snooze. Safe to say they had an amazing time!

We're heading back out in June and already looking at dates for July, August and possibly September too.

Now for the important bit...

These spaces NEVER hang around. Once dates are released, they tend to disappear faster than treats at dinnertime. 😂

June is Microchipping Month, so it’s the perfect time to do a quick check of your pet’s microchip details. 🐶🐱

Lots of pets are microchipped, but many owners don’t realise that if phone numbers, addresses or emergency contacts change, the information linked to the chip needs updating too.

That tiny chip could make all the difference if your pet ever goes missing. ❤️

It’s Garden Wildlife Week 🦔🌿 and it’s a great reminder that our gardens aren’t just for our dogs — they’re shared with lots of local wildlife too

A quick run around the garden can sometimes come with hidden risks, from hedgehogs tucked away in the grass to common plants that aren’t actually pet-safe 👀

A few simple things to keep in mind:
🐾 Supervise garden time, especially in the evening
🌼 Be mindful of what’s planted in your garden
🚫 Avoid using slug pellets or harsh chemicals
🐝 Watch for curious dogs getting a bit too interested in bees

🌷 A gentle reminder for spring walks…

You may have seen the recent story about a dog who sadly passed away after visiting a tulip festival 💔
While the exact cause hasn’t been officially confirmed, it’s believed it may have been linked to tulip toxicity.

It’s a good reminder that some of the plants we see every day this time of year can be harmful to our dogs — especially if they decide to have a little nibble.

🐾 Spring plants to be mindful of:
• Tulips (especially the bulbs)
• Daffodils
• Bluebells
• Hyacinths

Signs to watch for:
Drooling, vomiting, lethargy or unusual behaviour after being around plants.

At Gemma & Jodi’s, we’re always keeping a close eye on what your dogs are sniffing, eating and getting into on walks 🐶💛 Their safety is always our top priority.

If you’re ever unsure about something your dog has eaten, it’s always best to contact your vet straight away.
